Update time, and I have some tentatively good news. We have found a 3PL company in Shenzhen that will be able to warehouse, package, and ship the plushies for us. We are in the process of figuring out exact costs, but the rough breakdown we have so far is as follows:>$0.50 per day per cubic meter to store the plushies with the first 7 days free.>$5 to receive our shipment into their warehouse (this seems awful low, currently waiting on a response to clarify)>$1.20 per order to pick and pack the package. Theoretically this means it's the same price if you buy 1 filly or 100 fillies to package them for shipping.>About $6-$9 per small package to ship to the USA. We're waiting to hear back about what global shipping costs would be and the cost for larger orders to ship. Right now that puts a very rough estimate of cost per plushie (for just 1) at $18-$20 to the USA. But this is super rough, and highly variable depending on shipping and other unforeseen factors. It also looks like if you get more than 1 the cost per plushie goes down to get it to you. It's cheaper per unit to ship you 2 plushies in the same package than to ship you just 1. Either way this is the biggest hurdle to get the plushie directly to (you), and it looks like we are making real progress on it. Also vote in the pole and share it with frens. I'm keeping it open until Sunday night or Monday night because it's Saturday in China and Symbiote doesn't reply to email on weekends. I also don't like how it's so nearly evenly split. Updates. With a split of 49 to 39 votes the 8 inch size filly has won. I've let Symbiote know what size to make the prototype. We should have that done over the next few weeks. There isn't much news from the 3PL company. They claim they can do global deliveries, but I don't have cost figures for that yet. Update time, and it's not a great one. The 3PL company we had been in contact with has gone awol on us after seeing that we intended to ship a MLP inspired plushie with them. They are worried about IP infringement. I have assured them that the character is not licensed and poses no risk for them to ship, but I haven't heard back from them for a while. I have been reaching out to as many other 3PL companies as I can find, but most do not reply or require such things as a minimum monthly order quantity or a fully set up website. I am still looking for 3PL companies, but this is the point where we could really use someone who has insider knowledge in the Chinese 3PL industry to help us secure a workable contract. Some other options that might work are setting up a kick-starter page with one of the many crowdfunding sites. But that would add at least 10+% to cost. It would give us a website to show, but it also may run into overzealous IP enforcement too. Not sure. I never expected a Chinese 3PL company to care that we're trying to ship OC horses with buttmarks as a reason to cut ties. So I don't know if this is a viable option.Of course another option is to use a US 3PL company that has offered their help and is run by a guy in the fandom. However, that would make shipping even within the US very expensive, because now you'd pay for the shipment to go to a US warehouse, then for the shipping from the US warehouse plus whatever that Anon would charge for his services. Any non Ameriburger would be royally fucked on shipping. And any Amerilard would pay minimum $20, but probably closer to $25 if not more.And of course, if all else fails, there is always the option to just distribute at MF4 only. Maybe if some trustworthy Euro got a vendor spot at one of their cons we could have a pallet of fillies shipped there to be distributed cheap too. Either way shipping is getting tougher and I'm getting tired of writing to ever more Chinese companies and getting stonewalled. Anyone got some ideas?

Update: Through the power of autistic perseverance we have made headway. I've found a new 3PL company who specializes in crowdfunded projects of all sizes and has no MoQs and will ship to every country (except Best Korea, the Donbas, or anywhere else currently devastated by war). They are also well reviewed on the English speaking Internet. Their representative has also been kind enough to clarify (in broken Engrish) the issues with IP infringement that other shippers have had. It is not actually an issue where the shipper or receiver gets in trouble. It is an issue where if the product looks too much like something that is licensed there is a chance that customs of either China or the receiving country may seize the item. If Chinese customs has an issue it gets returned to sender and we loose the shipping cost. If your country's customs seizes it, the item is destroyed usually. But the big thing is that this 3PL company is fully willing to work with us despite us shipping MLP derived ploosh. They also support cheap epacket postage. They are a bit more expensive when it comes to warehousing and pick & pack services. It's $1.50 - $3 per package to pick & pack, $0.3-$0.5 per unit to receive, and $0.5-$1.5 per month per cubic foot of warehouse space. So lets say worst case scenario is that each package will cost ~$3.50 in 3PL fees before shipping. Using the shipping tool on their website to send a single plushie to say the USA will cost $7.50, the same plushie would cost $6 to ship to Germany. To get it to New Zealand would be $8.50. So add $3.50 to each of those and you get a worst case shipping and handling price if their shipping calculator is actually accurate. These are estimates and are likely to change (expect things to be more expensive, especially with the world going to actual shit right now). Add on the fees that PayPal will charge once I start invoicing and we're pretty close to $20 per filly. Ofc if you buy more than one it gets a bit cheaper because shipping 2 fillies in one packet is cheaper than 1. Other things that may add cost is if we need to provide any custom branding, inserts, or something else. Probably not, but there are a bunch of unknowns and possible unknown unknowns. Still, tentatively, we may be able to do global shipping from China after all. Just keep in mind your plushie may be eaten by customs. The bigger eyes and thicker lashes of V2 were better but the positioning is up for others to say on whether it was too low or not. Mouth and nose embroidery thickness was better on V2 but too close together.
With the polls closed I sent off an email to Symbiote with our requests. The list from >>43234637 is mostly unchanged with the addition of getting rid of her eyeliner and specifically asking for CMC proportions for the flanks and legs. I requested that we only shrink the head if the snout definition can be maintained. That is all, we will have more information in the coming weeks.

I've let Symbiote know that we don't want the legs shrunk, just the legs brought together. I brought up the issue of balance.
