I notice that Flutterdash shippers tend to be hardcore longtime fans of the show whereas Appledash shippers are usually casuals and tourists and even when they aren't they only really like it because it's "canon". Everytime I see Flutterdash art on Twitter and look through the quotes there's people saying that it was literally their first ever yuri and they've shipped it since they 8 or something like that. I've never seen anyone say that about Appledash
