Celebratory Moonmare thread? Huzzah!
The polite, sweet, happy, serene Luna is fun and all but I really think it's way more appropriate for her be rather edgy, rude, hostile, & non-conformist, even after her redemption. The message shouldn't be that these qualities are innate bad, and need to be "cured". But rather that Luna went way too far with them when she became Nightmare. Moderation, balance.She's supposed to represent not just the literal night, but also the personification of things you associate with the night, like danger, mystery, introspection & a wild untamed nature. A Luna who is not a misbehaving rebel at heart is not.... really Luna.
