>>43147369I enjoyed your blogpost anon because it rings genuine and I can sympathize with you despite me never having been big into fanfics. The big reason as to why is exactly what you outlied here. Watching a kids show like FiM is absurd enough, I don't need to engage with amateur literature to compound the insanity. It is too emotionally ecclectic and utterely tone deaf. I'm baffled I share a planet with people who genuinly and sincerely enjoy literature like this in a non-ironic way. I don't mean to be demeaning to them, I accept this reality and find it existentially wholesome in a way, I'm just built in a way that doesn't "accept" sincerity the same way. Fanfics are gay and lame, only joy to be found in them is the sheer unadulterated aspergers contained within. I read Sweet Apple Massacre for the first time a couple of years ago just because it is horsefamous. Funniest thing I've read in a long while.
