I give Cozy a pass since no one expected her to be completely evil, but it's not unusual I mean Celestia is a benevolent empathetic demigoddess who represents all six elements of harmony yet she somehow couldn't see Luna's suffering to help her. Then she forgets about NMM a thousand years later and jobs to her immediately. And then Celestia forgets to maintain the petrification spell on Discord like Africans letting colonial infrastructure crumble overtime. One would think that if you're going to keep a dangerous world threatening entity in your own public garden where innocent civilians frolic then ensuring the stability of the magic prison on a daily basis is priority number one, but once again Celestia is smacked with the idiot ball. Oh and remember the Canterlot Wedding? We can't possibly call off the wedding to focus on defending Equestria from invaders currently at the very moment attacking the nation and nobody questions it. That in my view is the biggest idiot ball moment in the show.
