You offer your help to the two mares in the kitchen. As you start to work on dinner, you're soon joined by Knifepoint.
"'Can't be the only one lazing while you all cook, can I?" The zebra mare says as she grabs a kitchen knife. "Sliced carrots for the stir-fry, is that right?"
"Oh, yes, thank you Knifepoint." Brass Compass says. "But don't feel obliged. You're a guest here."
"Eh. I'm still feeling pretty obliged right now, sorry." She shrugs. "That's less boring than waiting on my own."

You share a nice dinner not long after thanks to your joined efforts, and go to bed not long after.

While the room you're offered is spacious, it soon starts feeling lonely in your bunk bed. Instead, you stealthily climb walk back into the corridor and got softly knock on the door of Brass Compass.
"Oh, Hearty?" The big green unicorn perks up as she sees you. "Do you need anything?"
"You'll be the judge on whether I need it." You start. "But I've missed the times we shared some comfort together at night. Do you happen to need a soft little plushie to hold while you sleep? The ones in your room must feel awfully tiny by now…"
"Why not..." Brass Compass replies while stifling a giggle. "Do come in, Hearty."

You make your way inside the mare's room, which is very obviously a place she spent a lot of time in while growing up, as you witness a few remains of foalhood in here in her stuff. The walls are painted in a deep blue while the round fluffy carpet on the ground being a little lighter. The light of the night comes from a single tall window in the room, the curtains not yet closed. As for furniture, there's a desk that's littered with books, scrolls and inks, with a big pillow instead of a chair in front of it. There are two large chests, on that seems to be filled with clothes while the other stores books that seem to be less scholarly that the ones in the living room. Here it is novels of all kind that are piled up, and few board games between them. The mare's bed is fortunately a large one, where a few stuffed animals already rest, a snake and a teddy bear. There's also a display cabinet with glass doors containing what you suppose are souvenirs of all kind. It is indiscriminately filled with school reports, colored pebbles, a few snow globes or little pony figurines. One of the shelves is covered in seashells, and you recognize the one you picked up today in here.

"A good thing I tidied up before leaving for Starpoint Keep." Brass Compass says as she lies in her bed. "Well?
Not refusing the mare's invitation, you get under the sheets with her and nestle yourself in the warmth of her embrace.

"Say, please don't think too much about Knifepoint's attitude." you feel the need to say. "She's just a bit too used to being a loner, and she's got that kind of honesty that may seem rude at first sight. Please forgive her."

"Well, I've read about the zebra revolution, but it's really hard to imagine how it actually went for them." She says. "Or how life was before that, if they saw the event coming... But, yeah, that's too sensitive of a subject to bring up myself, I think. Maybe later, if I can get a good occasion…"

The next day, you feel well rested and ready for anything. Brass Compass, Chara and Knifepoint are still around, and unless you have something specific in mind, you could take a job. You find a quest board outside where there are different offers than at the lower part of town.

Having seen the quests around here, you're feeling up for doing whichever with Knifepoint at your side. You come back to the estate of you friend and ask the rogue mare what she thinks of it.

"So what do you say?" You ask. "Wanna go slay a manticore? I reckon you're about as large as one right now."
"Eh… that still sounds pretty dangerous." She feigns a wince. "Even if it's no bigger than me, I think a manticore is still spikier, and fangier, clawier… and all of that just for 100 measly coins? Nah, I'm not going on this one. Especially as you told me some rich granny offers 50 more for a lost kitty. Now that smells like easy profit!"

"And what do you think about the quest about the thieves guild?" You ask next. "Wanna start taking it over for yourself? This could be the first step of it!"
"Heh. You know this would mean we'd have to betray this Red Letter girl, right?" Knifepoint smirks. "I don't think you can take over a guild by just attacking by yourself. Getting rid of some annoying snoop to get your ticket in, and then working your way up... It's more likely to work this way. Anyway, that's not something we can achieve in a couple days. I'd still like to check out Sky Diamond first, so I'll let you make the calls on how to handle it if you want us to tackle this job."

While the two of you talk, you can't help but to marvel again at the zebra's body. Once again, she's taken residence on the living room's couch after breakfast. And while she's lying on her size, her two striped teats rise as high as your head, and her nipples are begging to be suckled on.

"Sorry, I can't keep my eyes off them." Knifepoint smirks back as your eyes meet hers again. "I just want to see those swell larger again… and I can't help but to imagine them full of milk too. Wouldn't it be amazing? I wish I knew whether my spells could do that. Maybe we could try?"
"Eh, you know what I told you." She shrugs. "Spilling milk everywhere sounds rather bothersome, so I'm not really into the idea."
"I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue." You try to argue. "I don’t think a little lactation would bother you that much… or not any more than packing so much curves at least. It wouldn't be all the time either, probably, but just be a plus whenever you want to get naughty."
"Well, how about this, then?" Knifepoint replies after pondering for a few seconds. "You very obviously want to try this out, Hearty, and I'm feeling like giving you this treat. But like I told you, I still think that I'm gonna find it annoying on the long run. So, I'd be curious enough to try it… on the condition you can give me an escape route. Grow me once, and I'll do my best to think about getting a little milky, but if I really don't like it, you'll grow me again after a day. With how your magic works, we'll know for sure whether I like it or not by then. How does that sound?"

"Oh! That's…" You have trouble repressing a wide grin from blooming on your face. "Great! I must make sure I have enough magic in store for that, then."
"That's right." Knifepoint smiles deviously. "Your big girl needs lots of juice, Hearty."

You leave Knifepoint for now. You don’t have enough magic to hold up your end of that bargain right now, but there are easy enough ways to fix that, if do you plan to uphold your end of that promise at all. Right now, you're just feeling glad Knifepoint might indulge you. Your mouth is watering already at the thought, and a part of you even wants to leave Port Sunrise right away and travel with just Knifepoint to the capital, hopefully with a serving of milk at every stop.
Though, that's not a final decision in any way, and as your eyes meet Brass Compass who comes out of the kitchen, you instead remember the blissful night you spent in her embrace, and dream of a romantic date with the green unicorn by the ocean.

You might be getting a little inflamed right now. So before another craze takes you, there's one you could satisfy quickly enough. Curiosity.
"Hey! Brass Compass!" You approach another of the huge mares of this house. "Sorry to bother you, but would you accept to show me around the lab? I must admit that after seeing all the artefacts around the house, I'm getting really curious about what could be in there."
"The lab?" The mare blinks. "Come on, that's just where my parents work. You're probably just going to find it boring in here. And I told you, there's a chance they let something dangerous lying around since we didn't expect visitors."
"Which one is it? Is it boring or is it dangerous?" You dramatically ask. "It can't be both, and thus the suspense is killing me!"
"Alright, alright…" The mare chuckles at your little play. "If that's so important for you, I guess I can let you have a peek. My parents didn't tell me about anything special in the letter I got, so it should be alright. Probably. Just keep your hooves clear, okay Hearty?"

You follow your friend to the room at the end of the corridor downstairs. After a small flight of stairs to the basement, another door gets you to the laboratory.

Light comes in from a couple of narrow horizontal windows. The room is rather wide, but not as high as those upstairs, and Brass Compass has to crane her neck to squeeze herself in. Overall, the room looks like a perfect little wizard's den. At your right, there's a cauldron with racks of various ingredients at each of its sides, all neatly stashed and labelled in transparent glass cases or vials. In front of you, there's some work station where tools as mundane as hammers or pliers rest on the wall along magic-looking wands and metallic circles covered in arcane runes. There are also closed chests lying around along shelves with a few books and scrolls on them. At your right, there's a large space without furniture, but with thin metal rods sticking up from the ground amidst a number of concentric circles engraved into the stone ground. At the center of those, there's a cube of a metal you guess could be cooper, with some cross-shaped markings at its sides.

"Huh." Brass Compass looks over there too. "Well, my parents did leave something in the nullification circle. This is the one thing you absolutely must not touch. If it's here, that means they're currently investigating it, or keeping it safe for somepony else."

"You think they might have left a note about it?" You ponder out loud.
"Maybe… I'm gonna have a look around." Brass Compass states before looking over the shelves and into some of the chests. But as she does, the tail of this unusually large mare whips into one of the metal rods that is closer to her than she might have expected.
The rod, not being as tightly embedded into the ground as it looked, slowly falls down, and in turn, topples the one next to it like a domino, which falls right on the cube.

On contact, there's a loud bang and a blinding flash of light that goes with the rattling of the falling rods. You've got no choice but to cover your eyes while Brass Compass yelps in surprise. The big unicorn in a cramped space bumps into the working station, and reflexively finds herself catching with her magic a dozen tools that were about to fall.
Meanwhile, after the dizziness from the flash fades, you can look at the nullification circle. The cube's still there, among the fallen metal sticks. It looks like nothing broke or changed despite the flash. However, you feel… rather energized. There's a tickling on your skin, as though your fur is standing on ends, but aside from that it's like you just got a free charge of magical power.

"Goodness! Maybe I'm the one that shouldn't have come here after all." Brass Compass laments. "Are you okay Hearty?"

Hmm this situation is kinda like the first job we did with Brass with the wolf statue we fail the dice roll and then we were attacked by shadow wolves later on because of it. We may have gotten more mana and two additional mana in our reserve as a result, from the cube in this lab accident, but it also did something to our body it either made our magic unstable, not working anymore, cause it to do the opposite of what we want, or it probably gave an upgrade to our magic making it more powerful when casting maybe even enhance our body to have stronger endurance, more vitality, and grow our body's size and height into however we please.

We don't know if thats all it did to us or there may actually be serious side effects repercussions we aren't aware of that could be life threatening it would be risky to ignore this and not check for sure if we're in any real danger and if our magic is actually damage or not. I vote we tell Brass Compass the truth about how we feel different and energized from what it did to us and get ourselves magic medical treatment from the wizard unicorn immediately just to be safe.

"Brass Compass, I…" you decide to play it safe. "…Think something happened to me."
"Huh?" The mare's eyes go wide. "Are you okay? Does it hurt anywhere?"
"Right now I'm fine." You smile as you see the large mare getting worried. "I just feel a little tingly all over, and I think I regained a little magic too."

"A-alright. I think I have the tools to examine you." Brass Compass says. "Just a second. I think there's a guide out here somewhere too…"
Your condition remains stable for the next ten minutes while Brass Compass prods you with a variety of wands, following the instructions from one of the books she likes so much. Demonic possession is ruled out quickly enough, thankfully.

"Well… I'm almost sure It's just a little mana leak." Brass Compass eventually concludes. The fact that she seems mostly reassured herself tells you it isn't something too serious. "It can happen when you're exposed to a discharge of raw mana. Your health isn't at risk and it'll wear off soon enough, but you might have trouble controlling your magic when you use your stronger spells for a little while."

He misses spending time with her and wants to reconnect again. "Okay." She nods, before pondering for a few seconds. "Then… I know! I'll show you my favorite café, and then we can go to a restaurant I really like. How does that sound?"
"Perfect! I'm looking forward to it."

And after a quick kiss on the lips of the unicorn, you leave her to her task.
For now, you decide to accept the quest about finding a lost cat with Knifepoint, and go meet the other pony that signed up for it.

"Woah…" The other mare does a double takes as she sees Knifepoint. "We've out to catch a simple cat, right? Not to wrestle down some big lion I hope?"
This mare other also seems quite distracted by Knifepoint's teats.

"Also…" You approach Whistlewind a little later while you're walking to the client's home. "You looked a little strange back when we met, a little distracted. Did something catch your attention? What could it have been?"
"Aw, come on, you know what!" A blush reappears on the mare's face as she speaks. "It's your friend and her huge… her huge self and her giant…" The mare mimes a big circle with two hooves. "Ones! I've never seen a mare with a body like that before."
"Just so you know, this is my hoofinwork you're looking at." You indulge a little in bragging. "My magic can change a body like that, magnifying both a mare's power and allure. If you're lucky, you might see it with your own eyes during this very adventure!"
Whistlewind seems a little taken aback by your words and tone, but as she looks back towards Knifepoint, you can tell she is still intrigued by what you said.

Also, while you'd love to proudly announce to the world that Knifepoint is you marefriend, just telling that to a pony you've just met would sound like stating that you're unavailable, and that so is Knifepoint.

As you meet with the client, she soon starts to talks extensively about her precious Miss Whiskerbottom when you ask, and you've got to stop her at some point lest she recounts every little aspect of this cat's life. Rather than a description, you're presented with a selection of oil paintings of the pet. The owner tells you the cat is the nicest, smartest, most adorable and well-behaved creature in existence, which may be a slight exaggeration given what just happened. You also learn that the miss would spend her days roaming in the large property of the old lady, only going on one walk outside each day, on a leash, always following the same path at the same hour. It is on one of such walks, through the park, that Miss Whiskerbottom fled.

As for how to proceed, you ask your rat-friend if she'd be able to translate the words of the local street animals to you, felines or not.

Perched on the back of Knifepoint, the two of you investigate the park and the surrounding streets while Whistlewind searches from the air.
After a couple dozen minutes, something catches your attention in a nearby alley. Namely, a gathering of cats around something. While none of them is the kitty you're looking for, you wonder if that could be a clue of sorts. Coming closer after the cats skitter away, you find some fish bones on the ground, accompanied by a briny smell.

Asking around to a few passersby, you soon learn that some fishermare who was around earlier this morning tossed a couple fishes to a stray cat, and the smell has since then attracted all the furballs you just saw.

Since this mare and her product apparently have such a great power of attraction on cats, the three of you decide it would be a good idea to find this fisher and ask her if she saw Miss Whiskerbottom. This brings you to the lower city again, and after asking for a fisher that sometimes goes to upper city, you're pointed to a pony that you find fishing on a pier, at the southern end of the docs. And she's accompanied by another little somebody.

You're about certain this is your target, but the cat looks very happy to be here, rubbing its head against the fishermare while rolling on the sun-lit woodworks. Similarly, the pony seems very glad for the pet's presence, stroking the little beast's belly with a hoof in response.
"Oh… I think I can picture what happened." Whistlewind whispers. "Well, let's just go talk to her so she gives the cat back."
"Wait." Knifepoint reacts. "If we just come out clean, then I'm not sure the client is gonna give us the reward. Technically, that fisher mare found the cat way before we did."

Neither the cat nor the fishermare have noticed you at this point.

Ok this is a pickle A we try to sealth retrieve the cat, B we intimidated the fishermare to give us the cat and get 20 more coins from her, or C we bring our client here and settled this peacefully.

Not gonna lie I'm actually tempted to go for B so we can earn knifepoint boon already along with growing her with 50 percent of it happening again to grow her twice and we'll immediately get two manas back as a result once the quest is over, but if we do that we're threatening and robbing an innocent mare for our own selfish desires it doesn't sit right with me; she didn't do anything wrong the cat followed her because of the fish the mare fed the cat if she were a criminal or a shady pony being suspicious then I would totally agree to relieve them of their valuables and have it as a money bonus as knifepoint boon after taking them down a peg. Lastly, we have a date with Brass at night if word gets to compass we strongarm a defenseless pony to trick and lie to her to get more bits she will have a problem with us.

So I'm going for the safer choice that won't bring us trouble C we'll have another opportunity to earn the perk of knifepoint and besides we have a chance to win the roll without fail three times so we won't lose the extra 50 bits, but if we do fail knifepoint will only be a little disappointed about not getting the extra bits because we had to give it to the fishermare for her part of coincidence locating the cat first the rogue knows we can make easily it up to her later.

You return to the upper city, and tell the client what you found. Whistlewind explains that most likely Miss Whiskerbottom got a whiff of some fish, and followed the fishermare who thought she was a stray cat.
Thankfully, the cat lady seems foremost glad to hear her kitty's alright, and you accompany her to the lower city where you meet the fishermare. As you explain the situation, the lower city mare profusely apologizes for having taken the cat. She only noticed it had sneaked into her cart while she was already out of upper city and kept following her, the little furball was so adorable she didn't feel little trying to search for any owner.

Both the fisher mare and the noble lady find themselves gushing over how much they love the little cat, and your client seems happy to learn new wayq to spoil her pet with products of the sea. She even offers to invite the mare from the docks for tea every week for cat-related business.

Happy to have found her pet again, the client gladly hands over the hefty reward. And all of that in time for lunch.

You can buy fish from the fishermare too. Though, you haven't tried eating fish yourself yet. Usually it's used to make premium food for cat or dogs, but you know there are some recipes ponies make with fishes, especially in the north. Anyway, you're not sure a fish would be a good present for Brass Compass.

With more coins in your bag, you're sure to find a nice gift for your date of tonight! You walk back to the upper city, where you have a quick lunch along Knifepoint. After you tell her you need to go shopping for your rendez-vous, she leaves you on your own to browse the shops there.

Now, what could be a good gift for Brass Compass? Some flowers are always appreciated, but perhaps you could go fancier for this once? Some piece of jewelry? Earrings? A necklace maybe? That would be a rather 'safe' option. You're honestly not sure how coquette your unicorn friend can be, but you believe nopony would deny you put in some good will with that kind of gift. Having a custom one with the cutie mark of your friend on it would be marvelous, but it's a little too late to ask an artisan to craft a custom piece for this evening.

Or perhaps you could try something more in line with her interests. Your friend sure like books, but buying a present related to somepony's passion is a little tricky. You never know if you're getting something they already have or even something they already have better. Upper city has several bookstores, and there are some books about magic or other topics for sale. Perhaps a novel could do too? Another thing you could go for is adventurer gear! There are some nifty embroidered satchels for sale, large enough for your friend to store her literature in. Or perhaps a cloak. Cool wizards wear cloaks, right? Either a blue one, or a gold one to go with the mare's tunic or mane respectively.

Purchase a blue new wizard cloak for the mare is the next best thing; it'll show how well we know her interests on things she likes and what defines her character. You still have about an hour to kill when you're done shopping, so you decide to rest at the place of Brass Compass. Nopony's home when you arrive, but your friend lent you a key. You decide to settle for one of the couches for an afternoon nap in the living room, but before that, a short note on the table catches your attention. This one is not from your unicorn friend.

"I'm going to Sky Diamond. See you there!" is the only line on the piece of paper aside from Knifepoint's name as a signature. As you suspected, your rogue of a friend prefers smaller groups…
Well, you will see her again soon enough unless you change your plans, and it will be another reunion worthy of a toast. After making sure Knifepoint did leave her key of the house here, you get to work on making that nap a reality.

The sounds of the front door opening and the hoofsteps of two big mares trotting in wake you up not long after. Getting back on your legs, you walk up to whoever came in, and find Brass Compass in the hallway.
"Oh, Hearty. You're here!" Brass Compass greets you, glancing down at her outfit for a second. "Heehee… As you can see, Chara convinced me to have a little makeover. Are you ready to go?"

After Brass Compass follows you to the living room, you can start with the most visible of your gifts.
"Hearty, they're beautiful!" She smiles with a giggle of elation as she sees the flowers. "I don't think I've ever received flowers I mean, not from a colt at least."
"Then it's one less wrong in the universe. But, here, I also thought you'd appreciate something more practical than flowers." You say as you present the two wrapped items.
"Ooh. Hearty, you shouldn't have!" The mare says as she accepts the presents with a big smile and open them. "Oh, this bag looks so nice! And the cloak feels so warm and smooth too. I love them! Thanks a lot Hearty!"
There, the tall mare takes you in a hug, and give you a big smooch on the cheek, and a second one on the forehead for good measure.
"You're welcome!" You say, a blush on your face too at this point.

Shortly after, the two of you come out of the house to go to a café like Brass Compass told you. One the way, you warn her that Knifepoint left to the capital.
"Oh, I see." The unicorn sound slightly perplexed as she replies. "Well, Knifepoint sure looks like she can take care of herself, so I suppose we don't have to worry about her. She could have at least told us in person that she was leaving, though…"
"Well, I'd say she might be a little too used to being on her own." You shrug. "And to do whatever she wants whenever she fancies. Don't take it the wrong way."

You arrive in a small establishment at the corner of a street soon enough. The place looks cozy, but rather fancy too. The ceiling is high enough for Brass Compass to walk comfortably in, and the tall glass windows making up the entirety of the store's front allow the place to be illuminated by the warm orange light of the sun at this hour. The inside is otherwise soberly decorated with purple and yellow tones on the walls, while the glass counter has a variety of sugary treats on display.
"Brass Compass?! Is that you?!" The mare behind the counter gawks at your friend as you enter "What happened to you? You're… you've grown a lot!"
"Ah, you know how it is." Your friend chuckles. "Sometimes weird magic happens. And this one isn't so bad of you ask me."

"Gee." This seems to reassure the waitress somehow. "Looks like you're going on the same kind of adventures your parents did, then. Do you have something to celebrate, maybe?"

The two of you can then go in a round booth where there are large pillows for you to sit on.
The pastries here look tasty for sure, and on display you see layered chocolate cake slabs or crème puffs with complex sugar decorations, but they look a little smaller than what you've had in Meadowburg for example, and they're also a little more expansive. Weird how this works.
"I used to come here with my parents a lot when I was younger." Brass Compass recounts as you both sit down. "And with my caretaker too! If you don't know what to order, the pistachio puffs are really good here."

"Of course." And you'd gladly get some more hugs. "But, I mean… Wasn't there a specific message? Something else you'd like to tell me?"
"Oh, uhm… Sorry, it looks like I gave you the wrong idea." The mare says, looking embarrassed. "I was just so happy the read from you that I hardly knew how to put it in words back then. There wasn't any hidden message in that."

While she's bothered, you couldn't tell whether this is because of the situation or because Brass Compass is hiding some manner of feeling for you she's not willing or ready to express.

"You're looking a little shifty all of a sudden." You note. "Reminds of the other day at the beach. You know I almost fell off from how much you were wiggling under me at that time?"
"Hey, that wasn't very comfortable for me either!" Brass Compass retorts with a smirk and a renewed blush. "I don't know about the others, but another pony standing on you while applying something slippery is a bit of a precarious position. I'll let you know I tried my best to Not make you fall, and you were the one who volunteered to put the sunscreen that way."
You chuckle at the mare's banter, who fortunately replied in good fun.

"By the way, I don't think I've told you enough how lovely you looked in that swimsuit." You state. "Ponies who speak about the pearls of the ocean don't know what they're talking about, unless they're talking about you. It highlighted your colors so well… and also your curves. If there was any doubt left in you, let me tell you again that there's nothing embarrassing about showing off your beauty on a beach, or anywhere else on that matter."
