Multiple times over the years, I've offhandedly used the word "people/person" when referring to the ponies, and someone (a fan of the show, not an outsider) genuinely interjects into the conversation "but they're not people tho" like they're GENUINELY confused It doesn't happen often, it used to be more common, but it has happened consistently.
