I'm learning to draw and animate based in the show because I really love it and want to make some fan stuff and it's impressive to see frame by frame how they cut the right corners to make it quick and in the budget of a TV show, I don't know if it was discussed on the times of the episodes being released but I wanted to talk about the topic. For instance this is a simple head turn that last like five seconds but it has ten unique frames with minimal in-betweening so they have to do each one with some edits and when it's frozen looks funny but in motion looks flawless.

>>43201813Whoo, these are super old, but still absolutely interesting, thanks!
>>43201761That's just what animation is, anon. But I agree the attention to detail is definitely appreciated. Especially whenever the show makes the ponies act horsey. It's all in the details.
>>43202935Nope.FiM had caring animators, and carefully planned scenes. Coupled with the simple design, that most mares had the same body (and thus puppet) and flash animation, the cost cut on production could go to quality of animation (and scenario, music and voice acting).FiM is really better than other show in the animation department because of that.
