It was a different time
>>
anons will talk about trannies and "they could be dudes" and will hide behind 5000 layers of irony
you can't go back either

Yeah, there were more normalfags in the fandom back then. Now mostly only the super freaks are left, and in smaller numbers.

I wish there was a way for the Old Internet to return before all of social media created the la creatura that is the modern internet.

Why did the artist feel the need to bleach the brown dude tho lol

To ease the burden on viewers
>>
>>43206355
I remember going to my first ponycon and walking into the male bathroom with a couple of crossdressers
then having a regular dude come in and do a double take, wondering if he'd taken a wrong turn
>>
>>43206397
and somehow, the freaks joining the ride today are worse than the normalfags joining during the peak.
>>
>>43206355
They look like they were having fun. Wish I wasn't old and washed up and never able to engage in a fandom in that way any longer. Single life past your 30s is absolutely meaningless.

Older anons will talk about the kind of 2000s-early 2010s party atmosphere in the OP pic when the world was so perfect and everything, but honestly as a zoomer I think party culture is cringey and tiresome, and I'm glad it died.
>>
>>43207932
ayo we fr having a party in the snap gc, fuck these boomers, they all freaky diddybluds fr.
>hits THC vape pen

Could someone translate this to English please?
>>
>>43207946
You joke but it's that attitude embodied by the millennials in the OP (dude let's go OUTTT and get wasted) that seems so tiresome. I hear that in the past going out to party was a super essential thing to be viewed as socially "in", and that if you didn't hang out with the cool kids, you were considered lame and bullied and shit. Zoomers are much more characterized by staying inside and doing nothing all day, and say what you want about us being soulless husks, but nobody really bullies anyone anymore.
>>
>>43208044
>nobody really bullies anyone anymore
Which is why things might've gotten worse, nobody has the courage to take criticism, or give criticism anymore. You can't just go up to someone and be direct nowadays, its all passive-aggressive performative slap-fighting online which is bullshit.
>>
>>43208044
>nobody really bullies anyone anymore.
That's because you do it on the internet instead. I don't think that gives you any superiority.
>>
>>43208046
>nobody has the courage to take criticism, or give criticism anymore
This is definitely a problem. It's largely a reaction to the over-the-top edginess of the 2000s and before (like "Love and Tolerate", but more pervasive). However, like that edginess, it still has the effect of making people afraid to sincerely and freely engage with things.
>>43208048
>That's because you do it on the internet instead.
Even this is hardly common. How much do you hear about "cyberbullying" any more? Most kids ignore or exclude those they don't like, which you might still call mild bullying, and what parents are concerned about (if they're concerned at all) is political radicalization.

Kids genuinely try to get each other to kill themselves over fandom drama all the time. I would classify that as bullying.

lmao that's kinda based

Because modern artists want everyone to look as greasy and fat as possible... probably because they are fat and greasy irl
