How would you improve S8 and S9 to not to be the worst seasons in MLP:FIM's history?
Kill off Starlight. Creature characters are killed off and their homelands destroyed by the M6 or villain attacks.

I would need to dig through each of the seasons to really piece that all together, and frankly the changes would probably need to start in season 3.I think the easiest change would be giving the petrification of Cozy Glow, Tirek, and Chrysalis some justification. A reason why they can't be reformed, at least not then. It shouldn't be too hard. They're all pretty terrible.

>>43223749Season 8 is definitely the worst season but I think Season 9 is actually above the seventh season (the three of them are bad though). So I'll focus my suggestions on season 8, but some of this apply to the other Haber seasons as well.First, the friendship school should be a normal school since the mere concept of teaching friendship as an academic subject practically goes against the reason why Twilight had to move to Ponyville.Second, reduce Starlight and the Student Six's existence to the bare minimum, or downright remove them. Then focus on older characters people like yet never got enough attention by the writers (Braeburn, Soarin, Coco Pommel, Babs Seed, Tiara, etc). If the voice actor has retired, get a new one.Third, avoid glittery backgrounds, they are ugly and obnoxious to look at.Fourth, keep it fun and original. The first seasons were filled with diverse shots, beautiful scenery and great composition. Despite Flash's limitations, FiM did a great job at extracting juice out of every single asset it had. Now they have way more of those and everything looks and feels the same.Fifth, DO NOT make them repeat basic lessons as "Lying is wrong", try for something more nuanced in terms of relationships. It doesn't have to be complex, something like Sounds of Silence is a nice example of nuance in a lesson.Sixth, avoid this stupid crap of "I have a sad backstory so I can't get punished for my crimes", it is stupid and lame and a downright terrible lesson in general.Seventh, no writer-speak. I was rolling my eyes every time a character got used as a mouth for the writer's own opinions because not even their parents want to know what they think.Eighth, get back ANYONE from the old staff to supervise the nu-staff (preferably Rogers, as I think Larson was busy story editing for DC Superhero Girls at the time)Ninth, put Haber and Vogel into the femur breaker.
