Discord and Fluttershy together are super cute, Pinkie and Discord were hillarious together, The Smooze's presence and everyone's reactions to him (including Discord obviously not giving a shit) were hilarious. Celestia enjoying the chaos was awesome. Tree Hugger was cool and it was great to see Fluttershy with a friend who was like her. We got more of Fluttershy being properly assertive. Discord's awkward antics at the gala were hillarious. Maud Pie gave the greatest roast. We got to see the ponies in cute dresses. There's some fun action with the Smooze and the way Tree Hugger calmed him down was awesome. The character interactions are so great and natural here. There's just so much to enjoy here and it nailed Discord and Fluttershy's characterizations. I'd say its probably the funniest episode of the whole show.
The proper season ranking is:4 > 2 > 1/3/5 (any order of these 3 is acceptable as long as below seasons 4 and 2 and above seasons 6-9. I go back and forth between these, especially since season 3 is so weird to rank with how short it is.) > 6/7/8/9 (I only watched those seasons once so I have no clue how I would rank them beyond 7 probably being the best post-S5. So any ranking of 6-9 are acceptable as long as below seasons 1-5).
