Look before you sleep because it is both comfy and entertaining. It also has good chemistry between the characters.

Sleepless in Ponyville is the episode that establishes Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash's new found family dynamic which significantly strengthens both characters, the episode has a bunch of fun character interactions with the other characters as well and touches on a really important lesson for kids (feeling like they need to be exactly like whoever they look up to when they really need to just be themselves). Fantastic episode, I think there's other episodes on the same level of quality but it's my favorite.
I'm definitely in the minority, but Bridle Gossip to me is the perfect example of what FiM should be. It has excellent characterization and gags utilizing all the mane six to their full potential while still offering a cohesive lesson.>>43237727Another favorite of mine for the same reasons.
