They didn't put any thought into it. They just see the trait "farmer" and assume that means just raising livestock and growing all sorts of different crops. You have to go with the notion AJ somehow has the time happily and reasonably, to harvest apples, take care of sheep, take care of cows, take care of pigs, clean her home, cook meals, watch Apple Bloom, sell the apples, fix her farm machinery, till the land even though she has an apple orchard, eat, sleep, shit in her toilet, then spend time with her friends, go on world saving adventures, teach a class at a school for creatures and maybe more minor tasks.
