I think this fandom is God and the thought terrifies me. I have been lurking here for seven months and I have noticed the widespread reach this specific part of the MLP fandom has had on other, seemingly unrelated parts of the internet and I am shaken by the thought that this place is some kind of unknowable God made flesh. I don't know how else to explain the cosmic fear that this specific part of 4chan embodies. I am an MLP fan myself, so the media in question isn't itself the issue. Rather, the very way that this place carries itself as a sort of hivemind is what scares me. This place and all those in it are a malevolent deity and I am naught but a wanderer through you and your domain.
pay denbts goy its me god i need a new xbox
>>43249048That's right, I'm the horsefucker demiurge. Ooooo I've decided to make you stub your toe in a few days oooooo.
I for one.. was already welcoming our poni overlords.>>43249060Devilish.
>>43249060EVIL>>43249048>noticed the widespread reach this specific part of the MLP fandom has had on other, seemingly unrelated parts of the internetAnons can interact with other parts of the internet, and there's always cross-pollination of ideas in general. What you anthropomorphize as a malevolent deity, a title I don't mind, is moreso the power of autism to bring up poniponi in unrelated contexts, or the realization that life constantly repeats the same patterns. You might also need to take your meds.
>>43249077Meds only help to conceal the truth being hidden from your eyes. Once your mind is unclouded and you see clearly you'll notice we're already in hell.
>>43249081"Before Enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water."Whether we're in hell or not, you better spend as much time on self-care as you do on esoteric vagueposting like a 14yo kid.
>>43249048When /mlp/ won their third star in the 4cc, there was a unironically great speech afterward that summarized the fandom in a beautiful way. We are the last cool thing to come out of the internet before everything became gay and astroturfed. We aren't here for popularity or social status. We are an endangered species of autistic retards that are here because of our genuine love for a kids show, and we stay because of our love for this fandom.
>>43249112>We aren't here for popularity or social statusDebatable>and we stay because of our love for this fandom. Also debatable
>>43249144How is the first one debatable? Being a horsefucker doesn't exactly give great social status even if the board wasn't anonymous.
>>43249048>>43249048AGENT 42069 reporting in.
>>43249184Some people are in it because they have an ego and need their epeen sucked 24/7. That might not be as prevalent on this board, I was referring to the fandom at large really.
>>43249048Oh, well, ponies are just a really powerful form of autism. The only thing I can compare it to is Touhou, and even Touhou has way less of a profound emotional connection from most of its fans usually. Hell, ponies even get outright spiritual at times, to the point some have decided to get into religions about it. A lot of nor/mlp/eople have found something really profound in the show and the community, and as a result they could just handle themselves in a very passionate way that lends to our ideas and culture spreading a ton. I think ponies are also super nostalgic right now, and that's led to people being more receptive to it probably. While I don't see this culture as "God", I have a lot of arguments to make that it might be the most passionate and close-knit large fandom. There's really nothing else like it. It's not anything scary or a "God" because it's powerful, it's just what happens when a lot of people get touched so profoundly by something and decide to stand by it for years as a result.
>>43249112>there was a unironically great speech afterward that summarized the fandom in a beautiful wayChrist I regret never checking the cups out then.>endangeredOur level of comfy and genuineness is straight out of 2013 I feel like, but everything in the air tells me this culture is on the upswing if anything. Fuckin' Neighcon, a brand new pony con, got itself off of the ground this year and found a new audience of many people. Not to mention the 15th anni pulling in more viewers than ever. This party is just getting started.
>>43249237I sincerely hope you're right about this culture being on the upswing, and I can even see AI being the catalyst for people desiring more authenticity. Time will tell, but I will take the white pill today.
>>43249189This is exactly the type of thing I’m talking about, right here, all jokes aside. /MLP/ is God not in a literal, metaphysical sense but, rather, /MLP/ is “God” because the fandom is so widespread and influential not just over the source material that it’s centered around but even in other circles and other parts of the internet. I find it both fascinating and terrifying.
>>43249557Agent 42069 here and the real reason is because the algorithm is much better at following all of your internet activity and will feed you content based off it. schizo talk: Or like that one anon on /x/ said we are in an age of computers being able to read our minds, but none of us are ready to hear that. The only advice I can give is akin to that one adage of there being two wolves inside you. Only focus your attention on stuff you want more of in your life. It also plays into the metaphysical concept of the Law of attraction. >tl;dr: Focus on ponies and get more ponies. Simple as.CelestAI soon fellow stalkers.
>>43249596The very way that /MLP/ has impacted the actual show itself is insane, let alone just the fandom culture aspect. And so much of it is so niche and esoteric when compared to the more mainstream parts of the show’s fandom. It’s wild to think about.Lurking here and going deeper into the boards and threads has been rather perturbing. It’s like this shit is EVERYWHERE.
>>43249060How dare you do this to me
>>43249081I don’t think we’re in “hell” but I do think /MLP/ is God in a metaphorical sense. Interpret that as you will.
>>43249048Our egregore grows ever more powerful. You're right to fear us. I'd kill for her.
>>43249704some others reported on /pol/ or was it /x/ again but 4chan has the power to create reality. whatever we post here will happen eventually. some on /x/ said they made a time machine that is 4chan based. and that's not even mentioning our tulpa egregores...in the meantime I wait for my pony tulpa waifu to come to this collective reality. >>43249725this
>>43249676>It’s like this shit is EVERYWHERE.We are Celestia's chosen people. ^:)
>>43249725do you like feet Rarity?
>>43249048Imagine being around in 2012 when bronies swept the internet so hard 4chan had to make a containment board. Also ponies overtook 4chan on April 1st because gr15 was lifted.>>43249231It's because it's a western Moe waifu anime, with cute horses.
>>43249726“What I mean to say is that our house is God.” - Mark Z. Danielewski, “House of Leaves”.
>>43249048
>>43249823Well, that’s certainly interesting…
Ponies are extra dimensional beings trying to bring us the secrets of love and friendship, but humans aren't ready for it, so those closest to their snowpity instead create cruse imitations of their plane of existence through their own culture. In this case: the fandom as a whole.
>>43249048Lord, have mercy man
>>43249902An interesting theory, indeed. Do any others amongst you have similar theories?
>>43249902The difference between the enlightened pony sages and the profane pony occultists is that the sages understand ponies are of this universe and fairly accessible. It is the occultist and the normie that are vulnerable to mindlessness - assumptions made in haste - that twists the plain and simple presence of ponies in our life into a hopeless fantasy or a tantalizing but unreachable dream. These underlying habits of thought misdirect the contemplative attention towards engineering or occult secrets, and thereby preclude deep engagement with snowpity, the spiritually nourishing essence, which is felt, not thought, as a spontaneously-arising clarity of purpose known as bliss.
>>43249929Man you have no idea how well this exact post ties into the project im working on right now.
>>43249959When you get hit by the friendship laser it's the same thing. That 'EUREKA' moment.
>>43249968>If you have been around for a bit you might have heard of them before.>But just WHAT exactly are aninals? It's simple: animals are little people just like you or me. Over twenty different types of animals have been discovered so far. Here is the most common ones that you can find:>flopwop>slippery tube dude>fuckingf STUPld idiot>common doggo>special doggo>vengeanceI'm sorry... Anon I really am, but I don't think any of this is accurate. In fact I'm pretty sure none of it is. I'm going to have to ask you to delete this post.
>>43249975>I'm sorry... Anon I really am, but I don't think any of this is accurate. In fact I'm pretty sure none of it is. I'm going to have to ask you to delete this post.No.
>>43249902So if you watch ponies but value the opposite of what they try to teach, does that make you some kind of horsefucker Satan analogue or something?
>>43249979>No.>
>>43249915Everyone i know who believes what I said are unuronic followers of Celestianism. Which really isnt at all the vibe I mean, as I dont mean a judeo-christian religion system. >>43249968I dont wanna open up everything. Frankly I dont have the time. But I'm hoping I can help spread the magic of ponies and their friendship through a simular mindset. But you gotta wrap it up in a fun setting for the average person I find. Which honestly is entirely okay. The shamans of the old days communed with the universe because they knew the average person struggled to do it.
>>43249982Well it depends. My personal view is that theres a point where corporate policy and individuals took over the ponies we came to love. So if you're gonna base it off something like season 7-9, then ehhhhhhh. But if you're saying you willingly value and embody the opposite of things like, for example, the over arching lessons of season 1. You're probably just not quite ready yet for the deeper truth. Or you might just be an asshole. Idk I dont know you personally enough to say. Usually most people are chill tho. I rarely meet anyone in this fandom worthy of full on hatred.
>>43249495I could see AI inspiring it, but mostly I think the culture of ragebait and hatred for one another is going to cause people to want actual kindness and genuine connection and authenticity. If anything, AI tech has actually been part of the pony revival, with all of the pony projects that utilize it. Hell, even back in 2013, this board was hungry as fuck for AI and spent all day dreaming about it as a way to spend time with their waifus.>>43249755 (checked)Kek, ironically enough MLPFiM is what inspired me to check out anime more back in the day, and I left sorely disappointed by the lack of depth of most anime girls. They felt like they were made to cater to an audience that they knew specifically wanted them to be endearing or sexy or cute or appealing. Ponies are just authentically themselves and all of the adoration comes afterwards naturally, and they have so much depth. Still some great anime out there, but not much of what I've seen had that level of depth. Fooly Cooly was one that absolutely had it, though, though that's also not really moe.
>>43249959Well it's only natural that talking about the truth would tie into a lot of things. I'm glad it resonates though and the connection you purport makes me hyped to see your project.
>>43249996>I rarely meet anyone in this fandom worthy of full on hatred.
>>43249982Correct he is saying mlp is the theoretical perfection and the physical equivelant is always damaged>Christianity: fallen world claim>Neoplatnoic realmsThe real irony is the concepts Faust was touching on are more objective and less opinionated, which is why the show caught on so well. Also the cultural context of irony.
>>43250018It, like Celestianism, is just a parody of actual religion. But I want to write a book about it as well, like I did with Celestianism, but all my own writings. I have a genuine belief in Mares and the power of ponies. If nothing else, if I dress it up as parody, I can spread the message I want to carry from what I learned from the ponies. Which is very meaningful for me. The project is called Mareinetics, a play off Dianetics, and currently centers around parodying Terrance Mckenna and his DMT elves and stance on Shamanism. Im doing it in the same format I did Celestianism, where I host panels at cons consisting of the first half being a discussion of the esoteric nature of ponies as if they are DMT elves, then I follow it up with a ritual or other such song and dance. Celestianism, for reference, was a sermon first half in the style of Jim Jones church sermons, and the second half being the waifu weddings. (Which have interestingly taken on a life of their own with the anons doing it at cons. That had been VERY interesting to witness)>>43250119I mean. Youre not wrong. I have never in my life encountered anything that had had such an influence on my life as Ponies. Actual Baptist Christian church got me through some of the hardest times in my life. But ponies directed my life in a way I genuinely am unable to explain. A huge factor I really like about Faust and the show is of course the friendship lessons. Because as you said these are often facts, every culture has its own version of the core tenants of the different aspects of ponies. It ultimately is the culmination of, i think, human nature has really lead people to. Because at the end of the day, its a show about hanging out with your friends. And being there for eachother. Dressed up in a female aesthetic because it brings people calmness and warmth like a mother, while the characters are horses, an objectivly [until MLP G1 in many ways mind you, something else important to remember] masculine focused creature for a lot of American history, think cowboys and indians, which helps bring in the boys as well. Cause theyre female horses not female humans. But its the individuals in the fandom who prove to me how far reaching pony actually gets. I mean we're americans jealous of the chinese for a toyline. Theres luna in space. Ponies ARE the modern human experience condensed.
>>43250258Sorry. I took "what faust was touching on is objective" and used "facts" in the wrong way. But I think what I meant still makes sense. Its late for me and I should be asleep instead of schizo posting.
>>43250006The ponies are cool because they work character flaws into a good story. It's very character driven. When it turns into "kill the evil bad guy" those are normally the worst episodes.
>>43250258Just read neoplatonism, gnosticism, and Christianity dummt. Then read about the satanic neoplatonists and how they use it to trick people into joining a blackmail pedo cult (like j*daism or f*eemasonry)
>>43249048The Nobody is known to frequent /mlp/. Nobody influences /mlp/, and /mlp/ influences the world.
>>43249231There’s genuinely a supernatural quality to MLP:FIM that few works of fiction are able to match. When you consider the way the fandom actually influenced the show, its characters and subplots, it’s a very meta show and it became its whole ecosystem. It’s truly a one of a kind work and it’s why I’ll always consider it a favourite.Something beyond human comprehension willed the show into existence. I’m sure of that.
>>43250575My point precisely, yes.
>>43250575Materialism is taught specifically to stifle spiritual growth. Ironically the thing materialists worship (math) is metaphysical. How's that for irony? It takes faith to believe in numbers, because they don't exist!
>skims over thread That's a bunch of schizophrenics if I ever saw some.
>>43250913That's why you are a slave. Unwilling to question anything.
I would sacrifice all of you to the God hand if it meant I could make the pastel ponies real.
