I think we should scrap the show and instead rename it to the The Great & Powerful Adventures of Trixie, and it'll be a fun, lighthearted comedy centered around this amazing mare named Trixie and her faithful assistant Starlight, and everypony will respect and love her instead of that bitch whorse Twilight.

I think this would be a good business decision for hasbro. Reboot the show to a version of equestria in which the early seasons and maybe some later season events are canon. That way you would satisfy most fans that would be most likely to care about and be invested in the reboot. And also have a lot of pre-established material to work with that you know fans will probably like. And then continue on a new story line or just stick to episodic story telling, and keep the main concept of friendship lessons.

Of course I doubt the corporate bureaucrats at hasjew would actually make that decision. They hate money and are completely disconnected from reality.
