Sometimes you have a few ponies sitting on the other fucking side of the sim talking about how they ordered a salad in waffle house at work today or some shit while you're sitting 400 meters away and the conversation is completely irrelevant to you.We have enough different places, and enough ponies gathering into small groups doing stuff together time to time, that blending everything into one conversation is not that useful anymore IMO.In fact when there's movie night in the hangout, and the sim relay chat is just filled with ponies reacting to stuff on-screen, it makes global chat almost unusable for the duration if you're not sitting watching the movie yourself either; you've just got an out of context stream of random reactions constantly interleaved with any other conversation you might be trying to have. It's not any sort of major issue for hangout movie nights because they're kind of "official sim events", but I don't think it's necessary for anypony else's events in parcels to always enable the chat relay and flood global chat with reactions to a movie or music that nopony else on the sim can see or hear.
