Hey Mr. VN maintainer. This is Impressions Mod guy. Finally had a chance to actually play the game more(to both playtest and enjoy) and I've currently found a major bug with the mod I'm trying to resolve, so I would hold up on integrating it and just work on fixes to existing issues. I can do a code diff on your latest version an integrate that too after I fix this bug.

Right now, if you try to go backwards in a scene and regenerate or edit responses, the impression snap shot feature that tracks your impression levels within a scene causes dialogic's response handler an issue that leaves the chat box in the "Thinking..." display phase even after the API has received a response from the LLM. Pretty game breaking bug if you don't want to rely on save and reloads a lot when you get a response you didn't like.

Below Q4 is rough. Some fine tunes might be able to handle it, but none I've tried. You can quant the KV cache separately to save some memory rather than quanting the weights. Otherwise, once you hit Q4, it's mostly a matter of adjusting your context size. Otherwise, you're offloading to ram and as you've said, that sucks.

Hey to defined myself for a bit as someone in the last thread having issues I haven't rewatched the show in quite a long time and so the idea of there being a second answer never came to mind and I wasn't alone in not knowing it. That won't help you unless you're into ponies or making your own VN.
For SillyTavern, group chat can be a mess. We're lucky because we have a ton of fics and media about ponies, so LLMs know them well. This means we often don't need group chat; we can just call a pony by name and models will know them.
In your case, I'd stick with a single chat but have lorebooks with details on the characters you want, plus a card with some description in the description field. Not everything though, that's what lorebooks are for.
