I am friends with you guys, but people on the server have been talking about something that isn't valid at all and I need to dispell this shit now :You fuckers who are saying on the server that MatPat would be friends with Twilight Sparkle and MoonDancer are wrong. MatPat is the actual antitheses of what those characters are. With MatPat, we are talking about someone who measured Sonic's run speed by applying classic Sonic's height to Modern Sonic as if the character was the same height. That's the level of stupidity we are dealing with here. We are talking about someone who doesnt realize that StarFox and StarFox64 are obviously not games about puppets flying arwings, but the puppets with robotic legs are just there to be symbolic representations of what the characters are in-game. We are talking about someone who actually measured Mario characters heights by measuring 8bit NES sprites to compare the difference of multiple characters heights, somehow not even realizing that an 8bit sprite is a very symbolized and simplified artistic representation of what a character looks like and is doing. In other words, he is a small brain that plays the persona of a big brain for views. Now, imagine MatPat goes to Equestria. Imagine he meets Twilight Sparkle and MoonDancer who are actually authentic egg-heads. No matter who you are, if a poser shows up and pretends to be the thing you actually are in order to gain attention, and it works, that would frustrate the hell out of anyone. Twilight Sparkle and MoonDancer are both ponies who clearly enjoy researching history and magic, not just to the extent that they know that information, but to really understand it and connect dots in logical ways. Their passion for reading about history and magic does not end at the surface level. Imagine MatPat goes to Equestria and starts spreading retarded theories about Equestria that obviously dont make any sense at all and it actually gets him attention. Imagine this guy starts spreading misinformation about physical health and potentially ends up harming others because of it, just like he does in the real world. Now, he's not malicious, just retarded so I dont think Twilight and MoonDancer would hate him. At best Twilight might feel bad for his mental disabilities. But, they would absolutely hate what he does and hate his sad, confidently incorrect Twizzler of a brain.

Hello, it's Gielnik. I'm here to make a post and hopefully put an end to this. I'm going to speak from my own perspective. First of all, I'll explain why Wapa got banned.Wapa grew obsessed with Gonderlane and harrassed him in discord DMs when Gonderlane got enough of it and started ignoring him. Wapa went on increasingly unhinged rants over days and weeks which later degenerated into threats, and that he'll "regret it" and something really bad will happen if he doesn't respond to him.Then, Wapa hatched up a plan. First, he would update Mareduct with the intent to add a special hallway into the map filled with messages for Gonder. He added a script to the map that would teleport Gonder and only Gonder to this message hallway and pause the round timer until he left the hallway. He then updated the map with new textures and features and sent it to me to add to the server. Which I did.But that wasn't all. He then went on an autistic mapping spree creating a new marena with the intent to release the map on the day of Gonder's birthday, just to upset him as much as possible.What you should know about Marena is that it's Gonder's brainchild. It's his love letter to the server and the community it's on. It took him more than a year of sweat and work to get it to work. He used to message me for months asking me for feedback and ideas and help with its testing. It's not just his work, other people contributed to it, too. Whether with code, new models or textures or arenas. Seeing people play his map made him really happy.So Wapa went and released the map on his birthday. And deliberately made it look like it was a map from Gonder, making a clear message "fuck marena, THIS is marena now. You suck". He then went onto our steam chat and expressed a lot of joy and surprise that he managed to get it pushed out before the big day, completely oblivious to the malicious act he had just committed.What followed was days of drama and discussion. I tried my absolute best to smooth things out but it became clear fast that Wapa doesn't feel the slightest bit of remorse, and selfishly continued trying to paint himself as a victim.

I was just about to post my side, Gielnik. Here:I made marena_cloudsdale to troll Gonderlane after his over a month long silence in DMs since May. Back then, I was highly suspicious of him and his first response for something unrelated was out of left field that contributed to the suspicion and his second one, to me back then, did not sound polite at all as he says, it screamed avoidance, hiding or that he had something against me after years of "polite" non-answers and repeated promises, even at mare fair last year, I was sick of it, and that there wasn't ever any sense of gratitude all that time for anything I did for him, and nothing from the bonds from us being friends during 2021-2023, like the subtle references of ourselves in cp_marelands as his first map when I got him into TF2 mapping. I asked him stuff I've meant to ask him about for almost 2 years, but didn't have the courage until that May, I simply wanted answers and an apology, I wrote text walls with every possible reason I could think of, trying to force the truth out of him, and my resentment of him grew as the silence went on.The intention of the map was to cause him confusion, by having a new map under his gamemode simply exist and everyone else here to assume he made it since he made the original marena so all feedback, positive or negative, could fall on him, then hope to finally get a response at some point once he figured out it was me, then I confess some days to a week later after release to all of you. The map was made from the ground up, including the VScript, with new theming, all done in 3 weeks, as a variant, a compliment to the original and never was a replacement, however, Gonderlane thought otherwise. Clarifying on the koth_mareduct update, I added the custom chat command that would activate the script to teleport Gonder on the next and every respawn, that would reset itself to normal once he went through that hallway, it did not stop the koth timer at all, it simply added one extra minute to the koth timer for both teams for each minute Gonder stayed in there to give him time to read as a just in case, I knew it would unintentionally troll everyone else, but I assumed it wouldn't take that long for him to read the messages, so it was harmless. This was a simpler ARG-like troll that I took a page from my minecraft server days with a few friends of then a decade ago, done to stop myself from committing to making marena_cloudsdale after I did its first working prototype as I learned VScript, to end this whole shit sooner. My thought process back then was if he wouldn't respond normally, then he would definitely do after seeing and reading what I wrote in there, whether in DMs or in-game after coming out the hallway. As you all know, Gonder didn't join at all the open mic night of May 23 when I released the update for him see it as I was expecting, nor the weekend after, so I decided to continue with the original plan. I also had no idea marena took that long to make, I assumed it was a few months tops for the first public version since when I first got DM'd by Gonder about VScript, I entirely assumed he was just starting out with it, and I didn't have much to answer since I did not know anything of VScript's API at the time.As for the /mlp/con panel thing, I knew I slipped up, this whole situation and Gonderlane has been living rent free in my head all this time, and still is, it was inevitable. I actually yelled something like "Oh god, what the fuck have I done?!" though it seemed seemingly out of context. Can ya blame me for that and as well as taking this long to answer the first post as I've been trying to not think much about this shit and the heartbreak? Just draw anyway, draw your wife, draw from other art, my shit wasn't decent until nearly 3 years in, have some patience, and again, get help if you feel like you need to, watch art streams, doesn't have to be my own, there's tons out there.If you get approached for something to then accept it and finish it, don't just wait for it to happen again, talk with everyone a bit in the project you got accepted to, and don't wait for any signal from them, just send FRs immediately once you got a tiny bit of a connection going, if they don't accept then that's fine, leave them alone. Don't be like my shy ass who barely ever did any of that in the last 6 years. I've always been afraid and very hesitant, to approach individual people directly, starting a convo, even to my own friends, unless I felt it was necessary. Especially if I had little to no history with that individual. My own mistakes mostly boil down to that. Don't put too much on your plate, control yourself with projects and how many commissions you're getting if you do those, or else shit starts to get stressful. And please, don't hold all your feelings and emotions to yourself, especially for years on end, or in my case, most of your life, it will come to bite you as it did to me sooner or later, causing what feels to be permanent damage to your own psyche, don't let feelings and emotions take control of you, and if you're also under stress like I have, even more so.

I haven't thought about it, but definitely not during the rest of this year.
