Sourcing from smaller regional suppliers isn't as feasible for major chains that span the country, they're forced to rely on Sysco/US Foods because they're able to serve them nationwide at the demand they require. Those two major distributors that rule America have mcdonalds by the balls so they can cheap out on their quality and set any price they want.

The thing is a G6 Glimmy would also mean more Glimmy awareness and fanart, even Tamers generated cool art for her from fans, so in my opinion it's only a good thing if Starlight shows up.

I do think that the final draft did a poor job of giving Glimglam understandable motivations, however. Unless somepony has the same kind of personality as Glimmy, they wouldn't fully understand just how impactful loss and separation can be to a pony like her, especially if they're younger (physically or emotionally).

Glimmy was much more fleshed out and developed than both Luna and Sunset combined, I have a lot of criticisms of them but what I found particularly disappointing was how they were instantly reformed by the rainbow laser, brainwashed into being good guys because they had no real motivations to have a heart-to-heart with. Starlight fixes a lot of problems from them.
