In case you missed the /mlp/con reveal: pony.games is now live! This site is mainly focused to satisfy all your pony game needs in a digestible format! As of now, it should have a respectable directory of games in the "games" page, you can eaither visit the author's page, download them, or go to the link to buy them if they're a paid game We don't do piracy. If you see that we're missing any games, feel free to submit it through the appropriate channels. The site is an MVP, so to speak, that means it’s pretty barebones as of now, but it'll keep constantly growing. While you might have to wait a bit to witness everything I have planned, you're just in time to suggest things you may want to see in the site! We're also looking for people to help out, so if you're interested, don't be afraid to reach out!Suggestions we've implemented:>Light mode>Publish date filter>Gore and NSFW as separate filters-Things planned in the next few months:>Accounts>Likes system>"Upcoming" section for games in the works with no playable demos>Comments>Assets in the "Assets" section>Redesign of the main page-Things that we're still deciding if we should add:>Tags ranking system>Reviews section for each game>Section for pony mods only-Things we need help with:>More members for the mlpgpp to help catalog / tag / backup the games>People to play the games and verify the information presented about them is correct, and request changes if not.>General help, if you want to participate and help in any way you can, feel free to reach out.
In case it wasn't clear enough, if you have any opinions, suggestions or observations, feel free to voice them. Everything is valuable.I want this page to be a community project, and that means building it together.
>>43400741Very lovely project. I would suggest adding a category for pony mods for non-pony games, even if it's just a single player model for Sven Co-op.I've noticed that Ponyvania lacks estimated playtime. I'd suggest putting in at least 10 hours, since the game needs to be beaten at least twice in order to get the good ending.Another minor thing I'd suggest adding are system requirements, but maybe this could be a community effort later, done by people who have various eras of computers. Perhaps something like:>provide your computer specs and OS>provide your game settings if you have any>say how it works
>>43400741>We don't do piracy>>43400774>pony mods for non-pony gamesI now wonder about rom hacks, since some are released as IPS patches which is fine, but there were instances where some hacks were released as standalone roms.
>>43400741Pretty sure most people here already know about it. Anyways, anyone got good game recommendations?>CommentsOh damn, your going through with that? I'm glad, but be sure you can moderate it. Pedos will try to link CP to it.>Tags ranking systemTags would be nice.>Section for pony mods onlyI think that would be a nice idea.

>>43400741>accountsMight not be a good idea...>accounts and likes/dislikesInstead of comments it could link to a forum at best. Leave the website only with a like/favorite button for filtering to minimize griefing scenarios (you will only need to worry about mass unfavs or artificial fav counts)
>>43400741>comments This could become a shitfest fast, maybe if you do it just as a review thing a la steam it could work but please for the love of Celestia don't make it a social media

>>43400807>>43400858>>43400946>>43401109>Pretty sure most people here already know about it.I also though that, but there's a sizeable amount of board users that didn't know about it. I plan to spread the word as much as I can. Afterall, one of the purposes of this site is to not let games be consumed by the void.>Comments Only for the games themselves. Wouldn't it be fun to share little secrets and details amongst yourselves? We won't need profiles or anything like that. I'm still debating if we should let people reply to each other.>Likes/dislikesOnly likes actually, and only on the games. So the community can "recommend" games non-verbally to each other.>AccountsEasiest way to make the site less vulnerable against the CP spam (I didn't say prevent it, just harder to spam it). We'll probably also implement special captchas like "put the mane on the pony" that pone paste was planning. The accounts could also be useful to bookmark or "follow" games to get notified when you get updated, for convince sake.
>>43400774>Pony modsAlready in the plans! Will probably only do the IPS thingies like >>43400779 for ROM hacks though, I don't want to be taken out back and be put down like a sick dog by Nintendo>Ponyvania playtime changeWill do!... Maybe. I forget a lot of things all of the time. If you could help me by submitting that on the site, on the page games in the hyperlink where it says "suggest changes" that would be swell. It helps keep track of things and sends it directly to the guy in charge of all of that.>SpecsHmm, that'd be something for the long run, a little extra flavor for when we've got the site at 90% completion. How would you feel if you provide your specs and the site showed a symbol next to games your pc would struggle to run? We'd use the account to help you save those settings. Again, this is in the far future, maybe a year at the soonest.>>43401230This is also me btw, if it wasn't obvious enough
>>43401225As much as I would LOVE the chaos, drama and constant infighting that would cause. I think it'd be a bad idea.Having a singular individual controlling the entire fandom is... A surefire way to guarantee the fandom's death.I think the best solution is something like neocities is doing. Together but not mixed up.
>>43401230>Easiest way to make the site less vulnerable against the CP spam (I didn't say prevent it, just harder to spam it). We'll probably also implement special captchas like "put the mane on the pony" that pone paste was planning. No, the easiest way would be to not have comments at all. I really feel like having a comment system doesn't add that much and it's just going to create huge problems for you as the site admin. Fimfic shut down registrations completely (if you want an account now you have to go on Discord and beg one of the admins) due to spam problems, despite using actual industrial-strength captcha and cloudflare bot detection. And I guess they're still having issues because they cranked the cloudflare even higher recently. Plus don't forget, in addition to CP spam and normal spam, hosting UGC opens you up to targeted attacks where someone posts links to CP or pirated content and then immediately reports it to your hosting company before you have time to take it down.
>>43401286Hmm. I wasn't aware of the fimdic situation. I guess it's gotten worse over the years, thanks for telling me.We'll put a pin on the comments idea for now.
>>43401286B-but why would anyone do that? :(
>>43401290I still think user-submitted reviews, approved by site staff, uploaded to the games would be nice, maybe with a minimum word count?
I found the other gaming site I was thinking of, ignore the blogspam at the top, it has a lot of older browser games reviewed and helpful solutions for some puzzle games: https://jayisgames.com/browser/
>>43401255Thats a really good idea. Someone can host a directory page a lot like 4chan's homepage. Then it lists each pony service and a note about them.
>>43401286>hosting companyActually, just so we're clear, we don't have one. It's all self hosted locally. But I'd guess the danger still remains with the domain manager
>>43401509Hmmm. Has anyone made a DNS service authenticated via tor? Could be a great way to sidestep icann. If users are willing to look up the IP manually as a backup.
>>43400741Did a /d/raw. What's her name? She's so cute.
>>43401865That's adorable! Her sloppitty We're getting some good fanart. We might need to find a way to display it on the site...I've been thinking of "Memory Leak". But nothing's set in stone yet.
Site's a brilliant idea love the mare love the work but I hate to say it not entirely a fan of the super modern design and colours kind of feels like Trello or SlackAGAIN not trying to discourage absolutely love the site and will be using it
>>43401865Holy shit that is fucking amazing!
>>43400741>We don't do piracyThen I don't do your site simple as. Either go all the way or don't do it at all.

>>43401713>Has anyone made a DNS service authenticated via tor?Not TOR, but there is Ethereum Name service. https://ens.domains/And then you can access it via Limo.https://eth.limo/>>43401902The design preference can be partially solved if the website provides some API so that anyone can make a (web) app that renders it.
>>43401945You don't do what?
>>43400741/s/uggestion: could you add coding tutorials and the like to the assets section?
>>43402222Not check your dubs, also site. It's not worth using if it's not going all the way and not having download links to ALL the pony games, including non-free ones.
>>43402982I disagree. I torrent a lot of stuff and it doesn't make a difference to me. Doesn't take effort to pirate something elsewhere, you know
>>43402982>not having download links to ALL the pony games, including non-free onesWhich ones are not free, though, D'Lirium?Hasbro slop, obviously, doesn't count - they don't understand what makes ponies or games good.

>>43400741Very nice! I really don't like the theme though, looks like generic LLM slop. Leaves a bad taste in an otherwise very soulful project. Take inspiration from https://mlpapplejack.neocities.org and https://mlprainbowdash.neocities.org. Would be cool if the anon who designed those can help out. Maybe I can give it a go too.>satisfy all your pony game needs in a digestible format>all your pony game needs>We don't do piracyThen that ain't really ALL the pony game needs, eh?I would think a pony game archive (which is what this site feels like) would, in fact, have ALL the pony games. You know, like a booru. At the minimum, paid games older than a few years should be included. Those who didn't buy it already won't pay for it anyways. One thing I am slightly concerned/confused about is the association between this and the game jam. Will the game jam remain a /mlp/ event? Because the much wider audience of this site could very well cause the game jam to be overrun with offboarders, if it's advertised there.
>>43403347Vibe coding a My Little Pony game in 2026 is pure magic. It shifts your role from a stressed programmer to the ultimate showrunner of Equestria. By feeding an entire franchise lore bible into advanced tools like Cursor, you can instantly generate customized pony flight mechanics, magic spells, and branching friendship dialogue using simple natural language. This hyper-efficient approach perfectly matches how major IP holders operate. Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks has explained that their teams leverage AI to slash the time between an initial concept and a playable prototype by eighty percent. This massive reduction in friction allows creators to quickly playtest hundreds of visual ideas to see what actually works.Ultimately, this workflow eliminates the need to hunt down broken semicolons or build complex game logic from scratch. Instead, you can focus 100% of your energy on lore accuracy, vibrant aesthetics, and the wholesome character dynamics that fans care about most. But for real, the golden age is behind us and MLP fanbase is aging fast. If you don't shit out your game fast, AI or not, there will hardly be anyone to share it with.
>>43403338D'Lirium, Marequests, Filly Astray to name a few. To truly preserve them you should be able to download pony games like these instead of doing retarded things like "go buy them instead" when these games can disappear for any given/non-given reason. If you can't download them then have you guys really learned anything over the years?
>>43403362>if you can't download themI can, though. Also Steam games out of all platforms are the least problematic (for now), they are stored in the users' libraries and they can download even if the game is delisted from the store.
>>43403374Forgot the pic.
>>43403374Yeah, (You) can. But can anyone else? Not just download them, but latest versions too?
Because MLPGPP and Pony.Games is kinda different projects, gonna answer some questions related to archived games.MLPGPP linka: http://wellmares.com/pony_games_archive/>>43400774>archiving pony modsWe already doing that. You can find 23 mods in our archive.>>43401945>piracy of pony gamesWe did not archive games under paywall (if devs did not give us permission).Instead we provide a link to where u can buy the game. If said game for some reason become discontinued then it will be added to the archive. >hasbro, nintendo and others big corp DMCA claims1) Open google sheet -> create copy2) deploy this on ur server https://github.com/marius851000/mlpgames-downloader to clone all of the archived games builds (current size is ~203GB) The goal of MLPGPP is putting all of the eggs in one basket, and share it with (you) do whatever u want with it.

>>43404092I tried both, neither worked. But fair enough, was literally the "being compiled" question tbqh, darn databases
>>43403947You can't prove that they have the games unless they actually provide download links for them. As far as I know OP is a lying faggot until proven otherwise.
>>43401406There is one already: https://pony.directory. But it does not allow generic links (eg links to wikis, etc) and the tagging system is a mess. Editing is also slow and full of bugs.I have one in the works too which is more lenient, editing will be much more user friendly, there will be a proper instant search, etc. Not sure when if I ever finish it. I vibe coded a proof of concept (holy shit GPT 5.6 Luna is so fucking powerful), but I don't "ship" projects where I don't understand/know every single line of code.
>>43403833>You must archive EVERYTHING>mustFuck off. OP is the one running the site, so OP gets to decide how the site is run. If you really want things archived a particular way, archive them yourself. Or at the very least, start saving things you care about and sending them to Rome

I would love to leave the Jam clock alone, but as a sort of cautionary measures, we can hide it somewhere in the page. Maybe only being able to access it by booping the marescot in the snoot? I don't know. We'll think about that later.>>43401947Naming pones is hard. I would rather keep the page easy to access without doing any extra steps.
>>43402979I've been thinking about that, but I feel like there's so many tutorials on everything that are so easy to find, that it'd make adding them redundant if they're the first result when searching on google. I think the only tutorials we could add would be ones made by the community or for esoteric engines.>>43404154Nice! I hope you go through with it! It'd be nice to have a general fandom directory, there's plenty of pages on the internet collecting dust and that makes me sad>>43404106I'm gonna take the bait to take the opportunity to say that we indeed do not have EVERY paid game. I plan on making a "bounty" list of games in the future of games we know we don't have so people can help us out by looking for them or just in case someone happens to have a backup of a specific game.
>>43400741I don't really have much to say except that this is really cool.

I'm going to so this as well when naming ponies.
>>43406070OK, fair, but whatever paywalled games you do have really should be made available to download for general public instead of keeping them to yourself. There is no telling what can happen after all. What if suddenly something terrible happens to you or your PC? These games would be as good as lost in that case. That's why it's very important to have everything available so anyone could download and preserve them instead of just (You) and (Your) friends or whoever else has access to the paywalled content. Moreover, free access also means if I or anyone likes the game they can buy it in the future if it's possible. That's how it works with non pony games and that's how it would work here as well.
>>43401713If you don't like icann, there's always opennic and the little pile of top domains they have created.

>>43406461Yea, it's really fun and replayable due to the multiple classes and all the stuff new game + brings. Just be sure to do the tasks in the pre-castle missions to not get the bad ending.
>>43406339>w-what if a meteor hits your PC! you MUST leak paid games for free right now!Absolutely pathetic how broke this board has become. Imagine throwing a multi-day temper tantrum because an admin won't let you steal $5 indie games made by solo bronies. If you can't afford $4.99 on Steam, you shouldn't be playing pony games, you should be filling out job applications. OP is completely right to keep the site clean. Modern, sleek UI beats gross 2011 Neocities eye-searing web trash any day. Half the legacy games you freeloaders are begging to "preserve" are unplayable, broken Flash clunkers anyway. Anyone actually serious about gamedev in 2026 is just vibe-coding new games in Claude or Cursor in 20 minutes instead of hoarding 15-year-old abandoned jank. Stop begging for handouts and pay the devs.
