Trading resources is trivial so there is zero benefit, if your alliance has 50 farms it will be producing 250 apples regardless of whether one player has all fifty or ten players have five farms each.Moreover, every building whose description says "environmental damage if you build more than X" causes exponential satisfaction penalties if you go above that cap, which means scaling above that has diminishing returns. So it's always better to scale everyone roughly equally, to minimise the exponential penalty, rather than having one player rack up a huge penalty while everyone else is tiny and could have expanded for relatively cheap in comparison.The only exception is Przewalskia nations, because their output is mostly based on actions (making parts), rather than buildings (farms/mines/etc), and there's no limit to how many times you can click "make part" in a tick. This means that a single Przewalskia player can often supply an entire alliance of 10-15+ other nations, and is the only case in the game where building Przewalskia nations would be mostly useless when a single one can do the job.
