Nevermind. It actually has songs.

Neither. Grow the fuck up
>>
>Look on the bright side is suicide
>>
Nevermind. No skips,. Perfect album.
IU has its good parts, but also parts that were improvised in the studio or were written as fuck-you fillers, because he stopped giving a shit. He knew that was the last album he'd make and he said so: you can't fire me cause I quit

On Nevermind he tried his best and the songs were written during his most inspired years 90-91
>>
MTV Unplugged in New York
>>
Nevermind even if my favourite Nirvana songs are Heart Shaped Box and Pennyroyal Tea.
>>
>>127547672
Live in Paramount is the superior live album
>>
>>127548709
Is it better than Live & Loud?
>>
They intentionally made In Utero sound shittier so it wouldn't be as popular as Nevermind. Why do some bands do this? It's like they feel guilty for being successful and making money, so they engage in self sabotage.
>>
>>127546611
neither of 'em
>>
>>127548767
Yeah the sound quality is better
>>
>>127548775
It's no coincidence the handful of songs they got Albini to mix actually sounded really good.
>>
>>127547661
>but also parts that were improvised in the studio or were written as fuck-you fillers, because he stopped giving a shit
Wut no way. Not a single song. Which one?
>>
>>127548864
Wut no way. Albini was an engineer. He didnt mix anything. Did he? Maybe his own stuff?
>>
>>127546611
They're both good for different reasons. Nevermind for the accessibility, In Utero for something noisier and rawer
>>
>>127546611
In Utero
Nevermind is popslop
>>
>>127546611
In Utero and it's not even close
>>
>>127548775
So the shitty managers and stuff don't get more money.
>>
In Utero feels closer to what grunge is supposed to be
>>
>>127552394
then you never actually listened to other grunge bands. It has nothing to do with them sonically
>>
>>127549397
Scentless Apprentice written from a very basic drum and riff suggested by Dave.

Gallons of alcohol that is basically an improvisation track made in the studio.
>>
In Utero is shit, Nevermind is decent
>>
>>127546639
Bleach, easy

Grohl was a beast on the kit, obvs, but Chad was Chadding.

If I had to pick one of those two it's In Utero. Milk It is my favorite track on the record followed by imo their best single HSB, Serve The Servants is an all timer song 1 side A.

IU has the feel of a worn war torn band that juiced its levels. Crazy to think that this is a mainstream album what with Tourette's, Very Ape, FFWHHROS, RFUS, Milk It, all hovering about. The quiet parts of the album are fitting in sequence, enhanced by the storm before and after. Plus Albini was playing scrabble while the whole thing went down, which is unfathomably based. Was he playing scrabble, idk, Kurt went to that last Big Black show and scored Steve's copper metal pick, which is based based based x39
>>
>>127546611
Bleach
>>
>>127546611
Both are great.
Both albums have songs I really like.
>>
>>127549481
Bleach is the best of both worlds with pop songs like About A Girl and Love Buzz. While also having darker tracks like Paper Cuts and Floyd The Barber. The rawness of In Utero was really forced and
intentional with Steve Albini’s hard on for having a shit ton of mics set up in the room
>>
>>127547661
Agreed. I used to prefer In Utero, but I came around to Nevermind again recently. Nevermind is a more complete album, far more inspired, and track for track better all around. Kurt probably had another Nevermind in him but was too afraid of losing his punk rock creds.
>>
>>127546611
this is a fucking joke, Nevermind has almost no bad tracks on it whilst also having the best Nirvana tracks on it too

In Utero is lazy garbage made out of contrarian spite, for spiteful contrarians
>>
>>127555203
are you a white bitch or smth?
>>
>>127555255
what would be the connection, in your mind? you think that because they wear the t-shirts, they actually listen the music?
>>
>>127546611
In Utero is god-tier if you're on a car ride
>>
need to explain?
>>
>>127546611
Why not listen to the original instead of the shitty cover band, goyvana sux
>>
>>127546611
In Utero.
Musically more mature. More interesting and provocative lyrics. Steve Albini production. Also filters the tiktok idiots who obsess over nevermind, not that it's bad.
>>
In Utero
>>
I love In Utero
>>
>>127557767
Yeah, In Utero has more sophisticated songwriting (Serve the servants, Very ape, Frances Farmer), but Nevermind has better simple and very memorable, timeless anthemic songs.
In Utero is more of an acquired taste, once you got bored of the obviously great songs. The albums complement each other.

And Bleach is perfect if you want to listen to angsty midtempo metal songs with some horror or funny topics. It's more of a junior phase for Cobain who was just starting to learn how to write original songs and carve the band's style without making it sound like any other
>>
>>127546611
FUCK YEAH 4 CHAN RULES
