I know Nine Inch Nails is not metal but their album The Fragile features a Parker Fly in about 80% of the music. Both magnetic pickups but also the piezo pickups (for that stressed out plinky sound).

Rumour had it these were the preferred guitar of EVH during the 90s, but he could never play them live or be seen with one due to his contract with Ernie Ball. It's unknown if he recorded with one.
