I've come to realize I can't stand Bruce Springsteen's music. People tell me to listen to Nebraska and it filters me hard. With almost every other big critically acclaimed artist I at least enjoy a few songs from them.

AC/DC and Guns N Roses. Too much screeching. It's like listening to someone hooked up to jumper cables.

I listened to the Smiths discography and now I hate them even more

I'm with you 100%. Springsteen's in that segment of music where he's skilled enough technically and as songwriter to be considered good but also bland enough to be popular with normies. I've always hated the faux working class bullshit. He's from fucking Jersey - he's not that person and he never was - it's all just a larp.

Jon Landau has ghostwritten his lyrics since BTR.

I saw Bruce Springsteen in LA. He was horrible. I kinda like his 80s hits born to run and born in the USA I'm on fire but he sucks live. Can't sing well, Max is a skeleton on drums. Tom Morello was the only high point of the night lol

>people spend hundreds of dollars to go to a concert that isn't good
I never got this. We live in a strange world.

anyone actually good. the microphones, neutral milk hotel, my bloody valentine, the clash, bad brains, american football, rites of spring, etc. truly i’m a lesser music fan for it
>>
>>127589126
Summer of 69 is his only good song.

Bob Dylan. Musically he's extremely dull. I've been put to sleep by his classic folk rock albums multiple times, his persona (fuck out of here with the "social chameleon" line, it's all the same shit) is obnoxious, and I'm apathetic to his lyrics.

Kendrick
Tyler the Creator
ACDC
I have zero desire to listen to tyler the creator and i probably never will
Kendrick is one of these artists that guilty white liberals have attached themselves to. I don't give a fuck about how "influential" or "important" an artist is if their music is not good to my ears.
ACDC is so try hard and boomerish. I can enjoy dad rock like pink floyd, led zeppelin, deep purple, the eagles, that kind of stuff blows your mind with how little it needs to be good, it is good boomer rock. then acdc is some of the most boomer shit imaginable. If I want "hard rock" i'll listen to punk rock, heavy metal, something less viagra rock.

>>127589126
Rolling Stones. I want to like them, but I keep thinking they’re just alright.
>>
>>127589126
When it comes to metal, I can forgive a band for being a bit hacky and tryhard but Tool is just too much for me.

That's a Byran Adams song. I can understand the confusion as they are both boomercore as fuck

So, Bruce Springsteen?

Tyler was fun when I was in high school.

I tried to listen to Joni Mitchell when I was young and didn't get her. A few days ago I gave her a second chance, figuring that my tastes will have "matured" by now. I figured that I can now appreciate an artist that is considered a "genius."

But I listened to Blue, and it did absolutely nothing for me. It was basically just normal vaginacore with jazz chord progressions and freak folk influences, in order to try and trick you that is something more substantive than normal vaginacore. Literally every song was about a guy that pumped and dumped her, so in a way she was like a proto-Taylor Swift. There's more critiques I have, but that's the short version.
Vashti Bunyan is basically just a better version of Joni.

there we go, that's the stuff.

>>127594333
To be fair in some of her later albums like CMIARS she also throws in some low effort political tracks.
>>
>>127594333
that is also true of Tori Amos tbqh

Joy Division
>>
My Bloody Valentine
I like a lot of shoegaze but MBV sounds cacophonous & thin to my ears. Tried to understand what others hear in this band but I just don't like em.'

>vaginacore
Kek'd. I'm a huge Joni fan simply for her guitar playing and use of tunings - she is truly unique in that. And i grew to like her voice.

Spot on. My third would be Metallica, they've been so boomer coded and stock for most of my life that I can't go back to when they were probably good
>>
>>127589126
Joni Mitchell, I tried listening to the song "California" and it sounds just like this

Billy Strings.
He just seems like a manufactured artist. Like a walking talking Guitar Center advert or something.
Songs are all riddled with cliches and his covers sound like YouTube covers.
Same goes for Marcus King and all the rest of that southern rock, "alt" country and bluegrass revival shit. It's such a LARP that it makes the bands Pitchfork was shilling feel original in comparison.

Sonic Youth, all their noisy slop is super boring to me.
