Post them, discuss, rec.
Is it me or are general rec/chart threads getting rarer here?

these threads seem fun, but are always such a waste of time
it takes a lot of effort to fill up the template, and there's not even discussion going on, most of them are ignored, except for the eventual "I like that game too" or whatever
it's just pointless blogposting
>>
>>127635550
I personally like seeing people with similar taste to mine and going through their other recs. Often it's stuff I'd also be into.

I think it would be better if there was a thread where you post only one of your favorite albums and explain in a short paragraph why you like it.
Would be better for discussion, and makes it easier to get recs based on what you like

I wanted to pick only one album per musical artist so that this isn't entirely just king crimson and beck, and i limited myself to only one video game ost. i can't really say i have a particular taste in a single genre, i just like things that sound good. i know it sounds like some real simpleton shit, but i can't really explain it.

Synthesist is based and Jorge Ben is nice as well.
You ever listened to Bernd Kistenmacher or Mark Shreeve?
Kinda similar to Harald Grosskopf.
>>127635195
You should listen to Camel imo.
Also I bought Dishonored twice for the 360 and both times I got a bug around the halfway that prevented me from going further so the game is probably shit.
>>
>>127635195
chillax indie kid. A redditor, but the good kind. Like a friendly co-worker. You suck for being a square though. Get some weed and alcohol in your system friend

>>127635384
you have a good taste in drugs and alcohol but I'm disappointed that you like prog metal slop like opeth and ne obliviscaris. Your book choise is interesting at least.

I would marathon the LOTR trilogy with you while eating steak dinner. You probably already heard it but try Yes' Relayer album, also the Van der Graaf Generator discography.
>>127635384
I think you would enjoy Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, and Freddie Hubbard. Also platypus is a based choice, anon.
>>127638766
>i just like things that sound good
I completely get you, anon. No need to justify it. I tried Jamiroquai last year and kinda liked it. You ought to try the jazzdance album Red Night by Blue Knights, also Richard Strange & The Engine Room.
>>127639092
Fine musical choices, very fine. I'm going to listen to some of these now. I'd prescribe you a dose of Harpers Bizarre and Glen Campbell's By The Time I Get To Phoenix.
>>127641105
These look really cool. I've only listened to Camel's Mirage. Maybe try some wilder stuff like Weidorje.
>fantastic planet
Exquisite taste.

>I think you would enjoy Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, and Freddie Hubbard.
I enjoy all three. Straight Life and Speak No Evil are all timers.
>>
>>127641382
Freddie Hubbard's 1983 Sweet Return is one of my favorites, good stuff. How about Woody Shaw? He's a very underrated trumpet player as well as excellent bandleader. His Rosewood album is in my top 10 albums but Blackstone Legacy is really great too. Any other hard bop/post bop you like?
>>
>>127641412
Never heard of Woody Shaw, but I'll check him out.
>Any other hard bop/post bop you like?
Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan (Search for the New Land is one of my all time favorite albums), Andrew Hill, and Grant Green would be the ones I listen to the most outside of the aforementioned.

Haven't heard the latter 3. Any specific favorite albums of Andrew Hill and Grant Green? Also, I've heard Search For The New Land on local radio but never knew the name. Thanks for the names anon.
>>
>>127641370
I go back and forth between Mirage and Moonmadness as my favourite Camel album. I think the main difference is that Mirage is more jammy while this is a bit more laid back.
>Weidorje
They are nice. Paganotti's bass is great. My favourites for this kind of prog is probably Eskaton though. You might like Rahmann also which has more fusion influences. Ohh and Vagrant Story since your favourite FF is 12.

You have great taste anon. Ultra based for the Asylum Party, Steeleye Span and Camel picks, also picking the best Camel album too. You should give Pentangle and Mellow Candle a listen if you havent already.

Mulholland Drive followed by Lost Highway and Fire Walk With Me.
Also I've been listening to Never for Ever a lot lately and I'm liking it a lot more than I used to, used to really only like Babooshka but it's a great album.

?

YES; THERE ARE SIXTY SIX «THE COFFEE» LOCATIONS IN MEXICO.
>>
I always find it a bit funny that I can really relate to all these anons when it comes to basic stuff like food, drinks, and then movies, games, and anime, and everyone seems really interesting and cool, but when it comes to music I have no fucking clue what like 80% of these albums are. And I'm sure this is all pretty sick music, but it always surprises me and makes me laugh because there's jsut so much fucking music out there.
