unlike spirit of eden where all the songs are good, this album has like 3 good songs (the first 3)
>>127644876After the Flood is the greatest song of all time.
he should do a cover of that Celine Dion Titanic song
>>127644876New Grass is just as good as the first half and Runeii is an excellent closer. Taphead is the only real weak link, nobody listens to that one unless they're listening to the full album front to back.
I like this one front to back. Never could really get into Spirit of Eden.
>>127644964It's certainly up there with the best
>>127644876I didn't know this was from the same guys who made the It's My Life song because you fags never talk about it
>>127645685that one's on you thoughsoeverbeit
I listen to Spirit all the time and hardly ever listen to this one. I don't really know why that is either.
Are there any other artists who sound like Talk Talk and Bark Psychosis? People always call Bark Psychosis a Talk Talk clone but I'm not sure why that's a bad thing when there are seemingly so few albums that even sound like these ones.
>>127646533Post-Rock's working definition shifting from "it sounds like bark psychosis" to "it sounds like GY!BE" is the 9/11 of music
>>127646745I wish that post-rock had staid in the Bark Psychosis direction. Hex and Codename Dustsucker are some of the best albums of all time in my opinion. I honestly prefer them to Laughing Stock and Spirit of Eden.
>>127646533>>127646745Also check out Menomena - I am the fun blame monsterVery unique album that is reminiscent -at times- of the bands you mentioned
Gentle and friendly reminder to all that the best Talk Talk album isn’t technically a Talk Talk album. Thanks bros, have a good day and be safe.
>>127646771Thanks, I'll check it out!
>>127644876This is a 10/10 album
>>127646745Post-rock was never about "sounding like Bark Psychosis", it was basically assigning a loose tag to otherwise uncategorizable rock music in the 90s. This includes early Godspeed, and it's not their fault that going into the 00s people saw a formula in something that wasn't there and trotted out a decade plus worth of fourth-rate clones.
I've never understood the hype for this album. Post rock for people who like jazz more than Fallout I guess.
>>127644876i knew an art hoe in design college who wanted to get fucked to myrrhman for some reason. batshit crazy woman. i know i dodged a bullet but sometimes i still long for her lol. and she introduced me to talk talk so there's that.
