In the Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel (8/10)

I liked this album a lot. Jeff's singing voice actually sounded great to me, and he definitely puts a lot of emotion into his music.

I thought this album explored some interesting and, with the obvious references to being very young in Europe during the Second World War, pretty dark themes. I also think the album explores the human condition and sort of how there are aspects of being human that persist even in times of extreme despair or hardship, like Anne Frank's.

Favourite tracks: In the Aeroplane Over the Sea; Holland, 1945; Ghost

pedo shit

It sounds like literally any college kid ever from the 2000s picking up an acoustic guitar a strumming some shit.
>>
Holland 1945 and King pt 1 are my favorites. I used to pick Jesus christ but I end up falling back to the opener be cause the extra layers come in perfectly

You know very little about music. If a guy today picked up a guitar strumming his chords and made a song like Two Headed Boy he'd instantly be praised. Nobody in indie delivers soul or power like mangum did.
