itt: personal 10/10 albums
>>1277091158/10
Also a 10/10 album cover >>127709623I kinda miss the time when Marilyn Manson was culturally relevant.
>>127709648I would be nice if someone replaced Manson, or if Industrial metal didn't die.
unironically
>>127711239so did you use this to fall asleep in high school or during a rough time or something?
>>127711259It was one of the first "out there" records I heard and I instantly hated. That was like 5 years ago, I even forgot about it until a couple months ago. Probably the better done album I've listened to after all this time.
Euphone. Hashin' It Out. Perfect album.
>>127709109THE CIRCUS IS FALLINGDOWN ON ITS KNEESTHE TOP IS TUMBLING DOWN
>>127711383How'd you go from hating it to considering it one of the best albums of all time?
>>127713674I listened to plenty of music during those years, opened my mind into genres I didn't like in the past like jazz. One of the few records that you have to "get" in order to truly appreciate it.
>>127710981Best Pic ITTLmao at counting crows and Live, not bad at all just really entry level, also president's are below mid but I really like lunatic to love, that song is electricity
>>127713995Currently listening, I like it so far.
>>127709109THERE'S NOT A THING THAT I CAN SAVEEEEFROM ALL THOSE WASTED, WASTED DAYSAND THERE'S NO GRACETHAT'LL EVER SAVE MEFROM BEING FAITHFULAND THE DAMN PHONE NEVER RIIIINGSAND I WOULD GIVE UP EVERYTHINGFOR A LITTLE WINESOME CONVERSATIONAND JUST BEING HEALTHY

>>127709109>Round here we talk just like lions>But we sacrifice like lambs
>>127709109
>>127709648It's so interesting that the skit for Black and White starts off the 2nd side of the cassette. As a visual component, I get it, but as a skit, MJ was on some next level shit. I go nuts totally lose my shit on the dancefloor anytime I hear "Remember The Time", totally agree with you anon, 10/10, stuff like "Heal The World" isn't my thing, but it's definitely a banger, there's a sincerity behind it that is hard to ignore. That legendary album cover is like a Rosetta Stone.
>>127714233>I go nuts totally lose my shit on the dancefloor anytime I hear "Remember The Time"The first two beats, followed by the record scratch and you can't help but start dancing. MJ truly was a master of his craft, there's no denying that.
>>127709109I hated this. I dislike folk/country shit in general.
>>127711239welp, that was a waste of time
>>127714322Checked. Had to relisten. That scratch is a backwards vocal or beat scratch of Michael doing his breathing thing? Really sets the tone. The vocal laid is pure gold, he had silk to his vocal, Michael doing the accapella breakdown then to the drum beat, beat coming back, holy shit. This is the stuff you show to aliens proving we're a civilized race. This mfer really did it.GOAT music video of all time. The absolute PEAK cinema, everything after this is just not the same, MJ crushed ithttps://youtu.be/LeiFF0gvqcc?list=RDLeiFF0gvqcc
>>127714437Timestamp: 6:43MJ invented/predicted trap music

>>127714969featured quite heavily in the 2001 film Life as a House. which in turn features a drop dead gorgeous goth Hayden Christensen
>>127711239I prefer Private Parts, but Robert Ashley too was one of my first forays into fringe music.
>>127714969omg i love stratosphere
Pretty good thread. Reminds me of old mu
>>127714615>>127714640Weird never heard of this. What do they sound like? I'm at work
>>127715561They're a rock band who, in their formative years, fired their guitarist and never replaced him. air go, it's all pianny and synth based. great singer, catchy choons. I'm sure you would recognize some of their songs. they went on hiatus for several years to enjoy their earned wealth and make families, but put a new album out in 2019 which of course didn't make a splash except for fans, and it's also good. I got all their autographs after a gig in Boston in 2004 :3you may know this one:https://youtu.be/Zx4Hjq6KwO0?si=6fiZ_orrAie5wegF
>>127714615Wow holy deep cut. I love this album.
>>127714615>>127714640>>127715218>>127715561>>127715742I wake up, it's a bad dreamNo one on my sideI was fightingBut I just feel too tired to be fightingGuess I'm not the fighting kind

>>127709109Music can be fun and beautiful.
>>127715218sexo
>>127717634I haven't listened to anything like it before or even to this day. You can tell he spent a lot of time polishing it, the sonical dynamics are practically perfect and it's extremely relistenable. I just happened to connect fondly with it, one of the most beautiful pieces of music for my ears.
I've been owning the CD since 2007 and saw them live for the tour of their second album. Glad people is starting to listen to them causing their comeback.

It's absolutely because I found this album when I was a 22yo "le cynical philosopher" faglord but I don't care, it's fucking Peak.
>>127721618BASED

>>127721641What's your favorite track? Mine is #19/Hexagon.
>>127721658Stone in Focus
>>127721631Thanks Anon.Fucks me up that the album's 8 years old now. So much of it has become more and more prescient by the hour.
>>127721615Basado.
>>127713995Based

>>127716542every album from the 1980 debut till 1990 is just as good
>>127722047Almost perfect, if only he wrote 3 more originals in place of those Brel covers.
>>127718034Very glad you checked it out. Euphone doesn't get enough love.
I miss their scooby doo sound
>>127721685>Favorite track is a track that wasn't on the original release of the albumBased
>>127717690For me, it’s The Invisible Band
My music taste would have never changed had I never listened to this.
I have listened to this album in its entirety hundreds of times and it simply never gets old. Completely flawless in my book.

>>127722011this album is mastered so haphazardly that it borders on ugliness. no matter how good the tracks are I just can't listen to it without being distracted and disgusted by the gross engineering
>>127715218I bet he sucks a mean cock
>>127726992that's a nice thought as I happen to have one of those >:]
Sounds like the soundtrack to the most chipper knight in the world absolutely whooping his enemies in battle. The first album is almost as good. Almost.
Downtown Battle Mountain

>>127729606Glad you liked it. Check out Private Parts as well.
This is the ultimate form of music. Nothing scratches that itch like pre-Rated R QOTSA
I'm the only one who's ever posted this here it seems.
