Where are you starting with Kate Bush? Wuthering Heights put me off at first bc she sounded way too much like a harpy, but Hounds of Love was a much more approachable entry point. Bjork idk man just listen to hyperballad and the beatboxing song and if you dont like it you dont like it.

That being said, if you're actually into goth music and the culture and wanna meet people in those places to form connections, go for it. They'd be more open if you actually care about the culture.
