Bands or artists that are popular or well-known but aren't actually anyone's favorite band. Steve Miller Band seems like one, everyone likes it when Joker comes on the radio and they can still draw crowds but I've never seen a Steve Miller superfan or anything.

But as a purveyor of spacey pop-rock blues he isn't without his virtues. Question: What is the "pompitus of love"? The Medallions couldn't tell me. B-
