What do you guys think about the new Blues For Allah remaster?

Talentless hacks. If they hadn't sung songs about drugs even the hippies wouldn't have cared.

If I like American Beauty what should I listen to next? I'm not big on the noodly jam rock that lasts for 20 minutes but the songs on AB are nice

I'm over being mad about the Grateful Dead
for a long time it baffled me that a band so well known made music so awful
but then you realize that some people operate on an incompatible wavelength from yours. I assume it's in our DNA. I'll just never enjoy it.
this goes for many other aesthetic matters. I cannot understand how people watch The Lord Of The Rings. I thought it looked like Prequel-tier CGI barf.

For me, it’s Terrapin Station. The production on that album is super kino.

I might as well ask you. I've been hearing how hard the Dead suck for years upon years and only burnout hippies like to hear Jerry Garcia play scales but I unironically enjoy the Grateful Dead. I think they're gooder than Hell. When I listen to their music, it's like I get hypnotized into being happy. It is like the inverse of heavy metal and it hits my ear as music pleasing to God. I legit don't know how someone could hear a song like Loser or a song like Ripple and not find anything redeeming about it.

Really the only concessions I will make is Bob Weir doesn't know how to play steel guitar, they didn't need 2 drummers, and Phil Lesh was a shitty bass player. I will admit that people who make the Dead their entire personality make them overrated but I do also see them as a contender for the Great American Band. For comparison, both Metallica and Green Day are from the Bay Area yet the top band from the region is widely considered to be the Grateful Dead.
