If there's one thing I can't get enough of, it's EDM with a dark but (ideally) tasteful edge. I like TRUST, Assemblage 23, and Clock DVA... any recs? "Instrumental", sample-based, and vocal are all welcome.

You're in luck! All of those are from a genre called EBM, which is basically EDM that incorporates the harshness and pessimism of Industrial musicListen to Blush by PVA, my actual favorite LP of the 2020s so far (grossly overlooked IMO), it should be right up your alley

Have you tried Haujobb. One of his albums like "Solutions for a Small Planet." Also check out Forma Tadre, it's so classic 90s:https://youtu.be/cdF_ZZOADEYhttps://youtu.be/J_klLrDycqAFor this general sort of industrial thing, I think Encephalon is underrated:https://youtu.be/MlLWXy56SCwMind.In.A.Box is also an interesting guy, he made these chirpy but sort of "dark" futurepop concept albums that recalls the first Deus Ex game:https://youtu.be/Sn8-fdj7_sg
Also just reminded somehow of Rein, a Swedish girl who started making EBM records that sound like Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation but over-the-top cyberpunk.https://youtu.be/zECaH8cwFqA
