It's certainly a peak for rap music at least. I don't really enjoy the song myself since I've heard it a gazillion times but I can still recognize how great it is. I can't think of another rapper who could have pulled a song like Stan off. Stan's story telling puts other story concept songs to shame. Even something like Slick Rick's Children's Story which many rap fans consider one of the best concept songs has nothing on Stan. I have no idea how a dumb fuck like Eminem even thought to make a song from that perspective.
