seriously loveless is a better album obviously but its a bunch of weird noises, this one you can hear phaser chorus tremolo delay stuff like that

yeah, loveless is more of an album of unusual studio techniques than an album of pedals. the akai sampler was probably used more on the guitars than any pedal other than a fuzz. the sound is mostly manipulation with the sampler and unusual microphone and amplifier placements. and a lot of layering. and a little bit of reverse delay from a rack unit which is often confused with reverse reverb. but much less than is commonly believed. i think the only song where it is blatant is blown a wish. it may be an actual reverse reverb on that one.
