>>127753062Good.
>>127742435Shitty music ?, definitely not, boring old fart playing a harmonica/trumpet for senile retirees in the asylum ?, probably was bored to death by his crap.
>>127753165Not only that. Slaves Mass is a masterpiece of brazilian music and I'd say of jazz music in general.
There are so many Brazilian musicians. Since all the discussion is centered on southeastern Brazil, a lot of it is poorly documented. The virtuosity in popular music genres in Brazil is crazy, and nobody talks about it. It kind of bugs me.
>>127755635To be fair, brazilian people are the first not listening to it or talking about it.
I feel like it's a problem in the US too. But since the US has a bigger academic community and more spaces to discuss this, it's less of an issue, you know? There's no one like Adam Neely in Brazil. He has those cringe-worthy political takes, but his approach to music is really good. We don't have anyone like him in Brazil.
