New Umlaut is an absolute banger, Bär is the man and massively underrated, he managed to progress the Bungle sound into something that's his own sound. Umlaut is more Bungle than the Bungle that's touring the easter bunny thrash bullshit, while not just being a copy.

The compositional approach reminded me of Psykovsky - Da Budet, although that album's a lot more enjoyable to listen to. I think it's a better comparison than Frank Zappa despite being a different genre.>CaliforniaDisco Volante, boring edition. I don't understand why anybody thought this was a good idea. Why would a band defined by wacky gimmicks make a more accessible album? Production is worse too, and it wasn't great on the previous two. Everything's kind of muddy and the lyrics are hard to hear.
