>hip hop is dyin-
>>

Rock and Hip Hop are so shit
>>
>they have to combine themselves with r&b to be relevant

you cant jew me op, i see through you
>>
>>127775300
You nuked your own argument by showing rock is also 2nd most popular.
But we all know rock is dead.
So that just shows people listening to older music
>>
I guarantee you more people listen to Christian music than this other stuff. I hear people playing it all the time and I'm an atheist.
>>
>>127775300
How is rock so high? Is it just old albums? If that is the case then it could be the same for hip/hop. People just buying old Em and Drake albums.
>>
>>127775300
THANK GOD
>>
>>127776540
I saw some chart earlier this year showing that rock alone is actually still the most popular genre if you split rap from r&b, which you should because r&b isn't fucking rap. The catch was that the average age of albums listened to was like 40 years old. There's still a huge demand for rock but it's like nothing's actually making it into the mainstream, it's really fucking weird.
>>
>>127776540
Yeah its gotta be counting older albums. These charts are so vague and barely breaks down where the data is coming from
>>
>>127776540
the problem with this is young people dont buy albums and hip hop fags are ageists, you dont see people buying ll cool j and ice cube albums in 2025 lol
>>
>>127775335
At least rock is original music, opposed to stolen music
>>
>>127776619
The rock audience has been pushed into the country audience and encouraged to listen to that instead.
>>
>>127775300
Combining R&B and cRap is retarded, they are 2 different genres. I like R&B, especially the variety called city pop, I hate rap. Is like calling country "rock" cuz they use guitars, in that case rock would be ~28%.
>>
>>127776927
sauce on this?
>>
>>127776986
What I said. The mainstream music industry really doesn't want to promote rock since like 2012 and have encouraged rock listeners to just listen to country instead.
>>
>>127777002
thats stupid as fuck, country has no global appeal while rock has global appeal.
they should have been promoting rock and country should be encouraged to listen to rock
>>
>>127777062
Its because they have been wanting to stereotype people bad. "Yo youre a white guy so you prob are a hick. Listen to country unless you wanna be a cuck and listen to rap! Your choice cuz rock is dead and poptimism is supreme now"
>>
This just shows rap is entering its rock phase living off legacy acts at this point
>>
>>127775300
Rock at 2, I thought you guys said this shit was dead?
>>
>>127777062
rock and country don't get along

you'd think they do, but they don't
>>
>>127777240
no. it was because they took USAID bucks to push DEI pop but fortunately that's gone now.
>>
>>127777281
the proles demand rock music and have demanded it since the early 2010s when kids lived in the wrong generation, but the bourgeoise music journalists and their corporate masters kept feeding people pop slop and rap slop
>>
>>127775300
not music
>>
>>127777428
then why did Shitlennials never make anything but faggy Starbucks music indieslop?
>>
>>127777429
It is music IMO, but generally stolen from others
>>
>>127777535
it was the only thing the industry was willing to promote
