Tell them to me

>>127778776What the hell was Carlos’ power level when he was capable of writing incredibly tasty parts on a forgettable instrument that was not even his preferred one?
>>127779925He played classical guitar and 80s metal, as far as I know, so he was probably pretty good. He seemed to be far better rehearsed than the two guitarists when they played live, too.I can tell from the playing that he had a good grasp of basic chordal harmony, and I'm pretty sure that he had a very strong influence on the songwriting on all the albums he was on, which was good for the first two and got gradually worse as he got more interested in keys/synth. I think it's been mentioned in several interviews and podcasts now that Daniel and Carlos were the two biggest writers in the band, which runs contrary to what people used to say about Carlos, where they claimed he barely wrote anything, and didn't even write Evil. It's obvious from any song that has a lot of octaves and triplet patterns in the bass that they were his ones. Songs like The New, Obstacle 1, Stella Was a Diver, Angels, PDA, C'mere, etc. Stuff like Evil where it's just a repeating phrase over and over would be Daniel's stuff, as that's exactly what he does on guitar a lot of the time.
