Why has no other band been able to pull off what Tool does? Most prog is wanky and too focused on technical shit they forget to include grooves and dynamic builds and releases. The closest band that seems capture Tool’s creative essence is Gob Ribbons

>>127810398Most of tool's progressiveness comes from danny carey's drumming. Tool can be best described as hammer ons and pull offs. That isn't actually progressive. The time signatures and the drumming are progressive, but tool themselves aren't actually as progressive as progressive can get.
