do you listen to every track in every album the exact same number of time?
>>
>>127825752
Depends. Some albums are really front loaded or back loaded or only have 1 or 2 really good songs or have a bunch of interludes/skits I can’t be arsed to listen to.

If you do this, do you even have such a thing as favourite songs? I get some albums are a one long song experience but there are always at least 2-3 highlights I will repeat

pretty much, but as I just flicked through my album list its clear that the later tracks on albums often have a few less plays, from times when I put an album on but didnt feel like finishing it, went out or w/e
>>127828082
not really, at least not in the sense of listening to them over and over again. once Ive heard something I tend not to play it again for a week or a month. there are some exceptions, albums I really like and might listen to more often but definitely exceptions rather than something I do all the time

No but when im first listening to an album i make sure that i listen to the whole thing before i come to a consensus about which songs to repeat a lot.

Yes I do, but an album is the full experience so i'll listen to it in the context of the album.
>>
>>127828852
This. I don't care if le shartists think the album is "one cohesive experience", the fact of the matter is 85% of albums have multiple shit-filler tracks that must be skipped in the interest of time. They get one good honest full-listen, that's it.

The above doesn't apply to classical for me tho
>>
Nah I wait a few years before relistening to an album. I think playing a full album over and over again devalues it

so what do you do when the various movements of a piece are of different quality? listen to the filler or give the whole thing a swerve?

There is no full anything and there is no context. An album doesn't form a thing bigger than its parts. It's random songs put together. Retard.

Yep. Last week I didn’t listen to anything more than once. And if I ever do, twice is p much the max.
>>

Yeah I listen to the filler but usually while doing something else. Mainly because it's a lot harder to skip through parts of classical pieces, since they're not typically broken up into 2-5 minute tracks like with modern music. Best I can do is start at a particular movement like you said, but usually there are some passages in every movement that I enjoy.

The only retard here is you, who is not a musician.

Listen to better albums then.
>>127829203
Oh nevermind you are a retarded teenager, carry on.
