If I judge them solely the basis of those, I'd say they are about equal. Slayer has higher highs, but Metallica is a bit more consistent from album to album. In the end, I'd say I prefer Slayer slightly more. Number 3 has to be Megadeth. They have two noteworthy albums. Of those, I think one is decent and one is good. The last one has to be Anthrax. They also have two noteworthy albums, but I only somewhat like one of them and don't care about the other. Final ranking:Slayer > Metallica > Megadeth > Anthrax
