How did you learn to sing, anon?
I was in the choir at church when I was a kid so I guess it was from there
I just sang along to stuff in the car
>>127838751I didn't because if I did I wouldn't be able to sing punk songs
Just like anything to sing, to sing, is a state of mind.
Listened to this cd and sang along to every song
>>127838751trial and error. recording myself and scrutinizing the performance. listening to good singers and trying to understand what they do differently from me.
>>127838751Sang in the car until I joined a band and got serious about it. Being in orchestra all throughout school was very helpful, too.
>>127838751i'm still trying. sometimes i really do surprise myself by how well i could carry a tune, but then i'd completely fail at even getting close to that performance for the next 15 attempts. i don't really understand the mechanics of it desu.
>>127838751I was born with perfect pitch. I just kind of do it.
>>127838751Simple: I didn't.
>>127838751most people who are decent at singing usually were in a choir or had lessons as a kid, if you have the money you should absolutely do vocals lessons. I taught myself guitar and have made good progress with it over the years but learning to sing is a whole different beast and i think by the time i had done a month of lessons i had made better progress than a year of trying to teach myself to sing.
>>127838751Realize theirs one of 5 places your voice comes from (gut, chest, throat, head, nostrils) and experiment. I taught myself how to manipulate my voice into singing voices by attempting to sing Poker Face as Danzig. I had people telling me I "obviously" took choir in school when really I'm just autistic and can make my body do stuff by concentrating on it.
>>127844182taking singing lessons just feels so wrong to me, like i'm trying to tinker with something that is supposed to be intimate
>>127838751Scream'n'bleed
>>127844443nta, but how do you do it, anon?
>>127838751Tried out school choir and twas cool
>>127838751haha OP I love froggo XD
