Just sold some of my CDs for 120€. They didn't even cost me 50€ in total. Is CD reselling the new way to gain easy money?
>>
>>127842195
which cds?
>>
>>127842195
cds are still crazy cheap
>>
>>127842209
Mostly prog rock and boomer stuff. Most expensive one of the lot was a Soft Machine bootleg that costed me 7€ at the time, while the rest like 5€ each or even less in some cases. Beach Boys, Doors, Byrds, Traffic... that kind of dad rock shit.

>ordering cds to have them delivered to them at the retirement home
makes sense

The easiest money is actually in reselling concert tickets.

Fuck you.

a lot of stuff has gone out of print in the last 5-10 years, even classic albums from popular bands. those can sell for good money on the second hand market, depending on the conditions.
>>
>>127842254
prog rock is a goldmine if you can get it for cheap. no other genre of music has a second hand market like prog rock where they will pay premium for even beat up shit
>>
>>127843981
This shit unironically gatekept me from King Crimson as a 13 year old.
>>
>>127844115
Can confirm. I lost my shit when I heard a clean recording of a Crimson CD on the way home from middle school.
>>
My record collection is probably worth around 5000 bucks these days, and I've spent maybe 1000 on them in total.
>>
>70 eurobux profit

Depending on what the cd is you can get a decent bit of change out of it. A lot of this shit is long out of print.

I was gonna do it for a Milton Nascimento CD, but I already own another copy so I passed. The rest are basic crap like Pet Sounds or Tarkus. Maybe I should do it with the Soft Machine bootleg if it's not uploaded on Soulseek yet, will check it out later.
