I don't get why people call this the greatest love song of all time. People say it has the complexity of real relationships, but it seems a bit cold for that instead of being interested in the other person. It doesn't really feel like love, but a fleeting infatuation.

>Frank Sinatra called "Something" "the greatest love song written in the last 50 years." He began performing it live in 1971 and went into the studio to record a cover shortly afterwards. Sinatra thought the song was written by Lennon-McCartney for several years until finally being corrected as to its authorshop. George Harrison however was not especially pleased with his cover. "I just didn't care about [Sinatra] that much. To me, he was part of the generation before mine. I was far more interested in hearing James Brown or Shirley Ellis's covers of it." Harrison did soften on Sinatra's version of "Something" over time and by the early '90s had begun performing it live with the cover's slightly altered lyrics.[2]
