Does anyone agree that the pedal steel is one of the most underrated instruments in modern music? It has such a lush and dreamy sound to it, but it is pretty much only used in country. I feel like it has a lot of untapped potential in other genres.
>>127882431No. Understand what you're saying. But if you think so then get one.
Also if anyone knows of any good examples of the instrument being used outside of country music, please share. For me, Luke Schneider comes to mind.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHeevbeO3Z4

>>127882547Find someone close to you / near you -- who has one and talk to him.
>>127882565I wouldn't say that, I'm a bit above average on bass but I wouldn't describe myself as overpowered.
>>127882581Go to /gg/ - talk to a pro. If their don't know.. find someone near you who knows. Myself, I think you're trying to justify spending that much, and i would say yeah, provided it's a very small fraction of your income. But don't listen to me. Send it to /gg/
