Does tinnitus impair your ability to enjoy music?
>>127884827No, it impairs your ability to enjoy life
>>127884827music is the only medication for tinnitus
>>127884827probably not unless it's really loud. There's this other thing that's related to tinnitus called hyperacusis which I'm pretty sure I have. I have sensitivities to certain frequencies in songs. Mostly in my right ear but sometimes in my left. I've kinda just gotten used to it, listening on better quality equipment seems to help a lot. I have a lot of chronic tension in my head and neck area, spent the last few years taking time every day to just focus on relaxing everything, and it seems to have gotten 60-70% better. I always thought it was because of loud music damage from my teens but nah.
>>127884827No. 10mg lexipro gets rid of the issue. Swear to God. But you will have a sleep disorder for the rest of your life. I have to take zquil every night in order to get more than 3 hours. Don’t even think about sleep if you’re hammered. Your heart rate isn’t gonna allow more than 2 hours
>>127884827No. I’ve had tinnitus for over a decade and I almost never even notice it. It has made no impact, positive or negative, on my quality of life.
>>127884827I have tinnitus. But the one I have isn't that bad. Usually having any other noise in the background drowns it out. It's only annoying when I sit in silence. Or have noise-cancelling headphones on.
>>127884909If you're a gigantic pussy maybe
>>127885198Yeah same here

Why doe nobody ever mention the sleep disorder part of it? That’s easily worse than the ringing
yes. mine isn't too loud and I've had it for 15 years so I've kind of adapted to it but I'm always paranoid of loud noises making it worse, particularly because I have some mild hyperacusis with it as well. if I listen to music too loudly it rings louder for a bit which is always concerning and it means I always limit my volumes, especially with headphones. I miss the care free days of my youth when I could blast some decent volume and not worry about making the EEEE louder forever
>>127884827If I listen to music it disappears so no.
>>127884827Everyone has tinnitus. The people who don't just assume the ringing is what silence is.
>>127885744Lots of pussies in this thread, I see
Not really, but hyperacusis does.
>>127884909100%people think hearing damage is just like "things get quieter", it isn't at all like thattinnitus is waking up every morning and your ears are aching and instead of silence you hear a horrific tone that's replaced all silence everyour ears also become much more sensitive to sounds, it's called misophoniasounds that other people barely notice drive me to feelings of rage that I've had to learn to controlhaving some music on is one of the only escapes from this reality
>>127890175It's not that bad. Quit being a bitch.
>>127890175dude. 10mg lexipro or escitalopram. it goes away
>Almost never go to loud concerts>Conscious about keeping my headphones volume down>Get impacted earwax>Can no longer listen to most music without hearing EEEEEE in one earWhy is it so hard to avoid permanent hearing damage?
