good thread
>>127932726bryter layter is autumn, pink moon is winter
I made this a while back. Could definitely add more to it.
>>127932628I consider this a spring album, but Laughing Stock is essential autumn.
>>127933460Don't forget Hex.
Animal Collective - Sung Tongs
Separation by ylayali is a personal favourite.https://youtu.be/eZbfrqO0lBwhttps://youtu.be/XBNrDsf6jPw>>127933474Seconding this.>>127933267Nice chart. I'd rec that Divorce Lawyers I Shaved My Head, Sung Tongs, and Separation. And while I'm thinking, the melrose self-titled also fits:https://melrosee.bandcamp.com/album/melrose(I don't like the two bonus tracks as much, but the first seven are super solid and take a lot of obvious inspiration from Stratosphere)
>>127932869What!? Is To Rid The Disease the joke to you?
>>127932920Clairo is an ugly cunt who makes liquid trash
>>127932869that song is like an 11/10, so it's ok that the rest isn't as great

Their entire discography is perpetual November.
>>127933267This could literally be my topster lol
Witchazel and Kill the Wolf by Matt Berry are very much autumnal.
>>127932551must be a big star about to fall
>>127934606Based autumnchad. I feel that autumn does indeed have the best music vibes.

actually good thread, ty everyone for the recs
>>127933267Are you me?
How do you tell a winter album from an autumn album? They both just seem sad and dispirited to me.
I think this fits either late autumn or early spring. Someone here once said it's a light rain kind of album and I like that.
>>127937202Autumn is musically typically cheerier or more upbeat juxtaposed with melancholic lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEF23tz2ziU
>Autumn music>it's just random music
If my favourite song on the album is Salvador Sanchez what else should I listen to?
One of the best albums from Spain, as well as a perfect autumn record.
>>127938803This is some good stuff.
>>127932085obligatory
>>127938399Sun Kil Moon - Admiral Fell Promises
>>127938925Check out El Porqué De Mis Peinados too. It's a shame that he went to generic indie level after La Primera Ópera, his music was some of my country's best: https://youtu.be/-R8oTMxHeBo?si=cQElrDPWa-UvxWJK
>>127934465best example so far in the thread I think,Discouraged Ones is "oh it's this time of the year already and everything is the same, I'm alone in my apartment and it's getting cold and I didn't even get a chance to enjoy myself" the record
>>127932869nah bullshiti've been sat here listening to the whole album for the first time and Closure is scratching an itch i never knew was there, wow wow wow good stuff

The Cleaners From Venus - In the Golden Autumn (1983)
A lot of people say this is a winter album, but to me this is peak fall.
Jangle Pop in general is a very autumn genre
>>127942288those early wet nights as they begin to draw in around this time of year are the perfect backdrop to this album
>>127932594Kino
>>127934573>Im so adverse to change it's strains my heart and fills me with horror, as milk from the fallen angel floats through my veins and fills my heart with another man's pains. So kill this wolf and cut through my chains.Peak autumn
>>127938399Electric neil young. Specifically:Powderfinger - rust never sleepsCortez The Killer - Weld Live versionSlip Away -broken arrowDont Cry - freedomDanger Bird - zuma
>>127941986cringe
>>127942931cope
>>127932519you introduced me to my new favourite band, thanks
>>127942937lana is queen. even nicki stans
>>127942953Just a heads up that most of their stuff doesn't sound like that. They're mostly prog and death metal fixed with some dark folk (at least their worthwhile stuff). Amazing band nonetheless and that's one of their best albums. Great for the fall and winter months.
>>127942595Agreed
Drudkh's first two albums
Any autumnal hip-hop?
>>127943819Masta Ace - The Falling Season is great
Nem é outono, porra

>>127932469I listen to Steeleye Span around this time of year
>>127947315I'm the one who introduced you to that to begin with :) Now check this one out.
>>127943683>Just a heads up that most of their stuff doesn't sound like that.such is my luck, always, with musici liked blackwater park i thought it was similar in some waysany song with scream lyrics i just had to skip, it will never not be cringe it doesnt matter the context
>>127933267ATLiens always felt more summer to me than Autumn. But like, end of summer sunsets on an August evening.
>>127950122i enjoyed this
>>127950122>>127950917>Red House Painters Ii mean this

>>127952618I did.
>>127932519all of the steven wilson albums are autumncore. hell, maybe all of opeth's albums are.
>>127954122For what purpose?
>>127954173brown jeetdroid behavior
>>127954238>>127954173Treat people fairly and it won't happen.
>>127954285What the fuck are you talking about? This is a fairly chill thread that you are literally shitting up.
>>127954323Picking and choosing when you want a thread idea to be successful is evil and unfair.

>>127954168>First line is "We entered winter once again"
>>127954808Yes, and?
>>127954460>mfw IBS>mfw haven't taken a shit that solid in weeks
>>127954808ill let you in on a secretyou cannot make a white person feel offended by any insult like that, because our superiority is an objective fact and we are all aware of it, especially when we stand next to a smelly brown
>>127933267I bought If You're Feeling Sinister from an FYE in 2008 a week before Halloween. I was a freshman in high school. Absolute autumn-tier. Spot on the money.
>>127955074You seem pretty offended idk
>>127954761I thought the color of autumn was brown tho
>>127933267Yep
>>127955423That's shit
>>127955074Why'd you leave? You seem offended
More like this? Creepy haunted music.
>>127956312You might like this. It's like drone mixed with Americana. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLF9T1himmk

>>127956331catchy description by you. unlistenable tho.
>>127956331don't listen to that other anon. it's more like ambient folk but it's comfy.
Skylarking, especially the end of side 1 and start of side 2. this album absolutely embodies the change of seasons>>127959702>>127956312these are good
>>127960575Don't be silly. It's clearly Summer throughout even with Season Cycle. What other songs do you think are particularly Autumn?
https://youtu.be/PeOka7VF4Q8Their other album Rock Action is perfect for fall too
>>127956331This is beautiful. Reminds me of Natural Snow Buildings https://youtu.be/APYTzGc6eU0
>>127960575Yeah this is a summer album.
>>127960575I love Sacrificial Bonfire so much, bros.
>>127956331this is really good. thanks
>>127957164this album just makes me sad. i remember autumn of 2015 i was super depressed and spent a lot of time with this album freezing my balls off in my poorly insulated loft room at uni
I'd appreciate this thread more if it wasn't 80 fucking degrees in October. That said, The Adventures of Pete and Pete soundtrack by Polaris is peak late summer/autumn music.
>>127954792Counterpoint: there's a song called Dirge for November.
Something Else by the Kinks is a fall classic. It even has "Autumn Almanac".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSLB_htKSYs

Southern hemisphere dweller here, what are some essential spring-y albums?
>>127970585Get fucked, Aussie. Just kidding, for me it's art-pop.
>>127970585Led Zeppelin - Houses of the HolyVan Morrison - Astral WeeksSun Kil Moon - April
>>127932085i associate that one with spring more than autumn, maybe it's the acoustic stuff. rollercoaster on the other hand is peak fall, not because of the band's flannels or the colors, but also because brown eyes literally namedrops it
Pale Folklore, Agalloch
>>127971979What about The Mantle?
>>127968065The Chronic Town e.p.
>>127972309NTA, it's more Winter imo.
>>127960960well the whole point is that the album has roughly a quarter devoted to each season. particularly I feel it in Ballet for a Rainy Day, 1000 Umbrellas, Mermaid Smiled, Dying, etc. I mean I guess summer is the overwhelming feeling but that's also just cause it's the strongest season innit. And I think the whole theme of cyclicality/change means that it is particularly suited to a time such as autumn which is all about that
>>127972575It's the transition from autumn to winter. Ashes Against the Grain and Marrow of the Spirit are pure winter.
>>127932628ty anon just listened to this album, holy banger Captcha was 444v4
>>127971403Great picks. Listen to this guy anon (127970585). He knows his stuff.
