ITT: biggest fall off albums
>>127943667Not totally without merit. All My Love and Fool in the Rain are great songs.
I'M SITTING
>>127943667First four albums were good, this one fucked it all up though
its a shame they went downhill after rog..
>>127943667The B-sides are better than the album
>>127943772This
>>127943772They were always shit
>>127944062It's not funny anymore, Jack
>>127943746Honestly they began falling off with their self titled fourth. >picrel It has one foot in pop punk but isn't even pop punk but a former pop punk band leaning more into pop rock. Ain't it fun has this forced fake gospel church black choir in the last 2 minutes. The songwriting isn't on the level of brand new eyes or riot. I liked this is why, strangely enough
>>127943887kek this
Dude picked himself up again from 2016-2018, but that bright spot aside it's been hot shit since this dropped. He was washed well before all the nazi shit.
>>127943721it's not a fall off, more like a fadeout>>127943772this is the only album i like form them.>>127943833no worse than the final cry
>>127943721In the evening and im gonna crawl are also great songs. I don't really consider this a falloff album.
>>127943667i think it's a decent album, the drop off happened after this one
>>127943833learning to fly and on the turning away are good. Better album than what came before or after it.
>>127943746>>127944220Definitely started falling when the Farro bros left. Last truly great release was Singles Club EP; after that it's all Talking Heads / random 00s indie worship with none of the originality or personality that made them good in 05-09.>>127951361This one hurts; his pre "spiritual era" music was always banger after banger and I just knew when 333 was released that was the beginning of the end. His last truly great banger was Vanilla Sky.When niggas go spiritual and start changing who they are to be "better" in an unnatural and forced way, you know their music is gonna fall. Literally every one of his songs after 333 has some random reference to kabbalah and the like. Even though 333 and Spider were decent albums, the vibes were ruined forever.
Enter Shikari take to the skiesSo far above all their following releases it's laughable
>>127944705Yeezus is his best work
>>127952032I actually liked this is why because they had more of a post punk and talking heads sound than the one foot in pop punk and other in pop rock sound of their self titled and the new wave stuff of after laughter. Hayley started doing more indie stuff and misguided ghosts was the first song on a paramore record that showed she was moving in an indie direction. She still has a good pop sensibility and the band are good songwriters so they reigned in a cohesive post punk, indie, talking heads sound on this is why that I can enjoy. I can't listen to after laughter or self titled that way. The band are in their 30s so they can't sing about boys and teenage angst anymore even if that is what people want from them. Self titled sounds like the energy they brought on brand new eyes is fading, they are leaning too much into the pop side of pop punk. I don't like indie but paramore does it in a way that is still good https://youtu.be/Z91DX87wWtghttps://youtu.be/xIYJ7VaSxYY
If you don't count their second album, this one. I don't count the second because while it's a completely different sound and approach (psychedelic rock/folk), it's still really good.
>>127954531I just don't care for Paramore post 2016; they lost their identity imo
>>127943667
>>127954653I get what you're saying. That's valid. I didn't want to like this is why but I liked it way more than I thought I would but that's me. First 3 albums? Bangers back to back, no skips. self titled? fucking boring. after laughter? forgettable. this is why? solid 8 for me
>>127943667>>127943746>>127943772>>127951361>>127954555None of these artists were ever good
