>I listen to music that's obscure and stuff like songs that were popular in 2 or 3 fandoms at most in 2012 HUHUHUHU
SHUT THE FUCK UP. No one thinks you're cool for doing that. Good for you. No one gives a shit.

Wow someone's seething about having terrible basic bitch taste lmao

Also, why do you ask? I've met people who legitimately still listen to Dev - Monster even though that song hasn't been popular since the creepypasta fandom went kaput somewhere in 2019.

I don't understand why people on this board give so much importance to liking obscure things, I get complaining about truly mainstream stuff, but if you have some 5 obscure albums on your favorites is more enough. How much you like the music is important, not how obscure or critically acclaimed it is.

Because it shows that you love music enough to go searching for it in sometimes odd places. Most people wait for music to find them.

I like obscure shit just because there are less opinions about obscure shit by virtue of it being listened to by less people, which makes it feel more personal to me since I can come to my own conclusions about a given piece of work without being swayed by a consensus. Obviously if something I like blows up I'm extremely happy for it, but everytime this happens it always invites shitheads that have some really cringe takes on it

What?

Why come to a music board then? Just listen to your pop/rock and move on.

So, you're saying the only way you can think for yourself is by not knowing what others think of it ?, damn.
>>127950918
To push me into finding stuff I actually like ?, what I like isn't mainstream, but also isn't obscure, since great music always finds a target/fans that spread it after all..
