Am I supposed to think Bring Me To Life isn't an absolute banger just because it was memed to death?
>>127951059Its my favorite death metal
>>127951059i dont let it affect me because im not low iq
it's good and popular, people here just want you to expand your tastes. you can talk about this album anywhere.
>The Hal Leonardâ„¢ book coverHeh, that's charmingBut also: no, Evanescence is good, regardless of whether we knew it at their peek
>>127951059Evanescence was always good. The RYM guys may have memed the shit out of the rap song but it ultimately immortalized their legacy. The entire album of Fallen is full of bangers. And if you want more raw atmospheric stuff, check out Origin and their EP.
>>127951059this whole band is cringecore for millennial normies you're not in middle school anymore, listen to actual music
>>127951059the original guitarist should have stayed to make more bangers
Great song. Did they ever have any more hits or just this?
>>127951059The original demo version without the cringy whiteboy rap that the record label forced them to add is superior and I am tired of people acting like it doesn't exist.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M37euoee3Tc
I wanna FUCK Amy Lee so bad
Didn't Amy Lee come out herself and say some of her old music makes her cringe
Going Under was always the superior song.

>>127951059Fallen [Wind-Up, 2003]The one and only rock breakthrough of this disastrous year is less dire than you'd think. They're Christians, but goth-metal Christians. I mean they're goth-metal, but goth-metal Christians. I mean they're Christians who told a webzine that "the world is filled with hateful people who parade the name of Christ like a badge that grants them immunity to destroy anyone that disagrees with them," celebrated their megahit debut with Dom Perignon, and were yanked from Bible stores for using bad words in Entertainment Weekly. Their faith, as embodied in Amy Lee's clarion sopralto, lends their goth-metal a palpable sweetness. Now if only it wasn't goth-metal at all. B-
I used to post Amy in wpop but wpop got even gayer since crappel and carpetmuncher so I don't use /mu/
>>127952800Millennial normies are the only people that matter, Rajesh. Boomers are out of touch, Gen X was stuck at work all the time and Zoomers aren't people. Autists' opinions don't matter as a rule, so that leaves one group of humans.
>>127952821'My Immortal' was certified platinum in the United States, Australia, Denmark, Italy, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. In 2005, the song received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. The music video has over a billion views on Youtube.
Amy Lee
>>127952821My Immortal was as big as BMTL before the memes took over. Going Under was a distant third, then Call Me When You're Sober and Lithium>>127952972The reason she said that is Ben did a lot of the early writing and she basically scrubbed their setlist of his handiwork
>>127952805>>127952935>>127957125Where is he right now, anyway? He should be making more musichttps://youtu.be/-Dh5UlYeuKo?si=kyJ9cByPrH5N3s77
>>127951059Obviously you've never seen The Rehearsal TV show
Ben Moody kicks ass. He is Evanescence.
The Open Door's better. A bit less poppy, a bit more orchestral. Amy was influenced by Bjork and Portishead on this one and it shows.
>>127954098/wpop/ is a fag circle jerk.
>>127952582Origin is the band peak, back when the 3 band members actually liked each other.
>>127953651

When I was young I found them gay, because they took the goth stance without bringing the violent music, which was seen as posers at the time. Now I love *My Immortal*, free of any aesthetical consideration. I take it for what it is, a ballad and as such it's good.I can't tell I like their other songs although.
The guy ruins the song, it's flawed because of that and swallowed the band in a harmful way, they had more potential than being remembered as a one trick pony...
